anyone else hate waterfall sounds ?

Felt this so hard! Even the small waterfalls are super loud. Then you have music players that you can barely hear. It’s so frustrating. I completely re-did my island to specifically take out the waterfalls I could.

the thing about the waterfalls is that they're so short in this game, and a real, big fat waterfall would be as loud as these teeny waterfalls in-game. like..... who decided that should be a thing? lmao

there needs to be more noise options like they have in minecraft... master volume, music volume, character volume, and typical SFX like waterfalls ;-; i would turn the waterfall volume to like 30%

i don't hate the sound but the volume is ridiculously loud. i hate going near the waterfalls when i play with headphones. conversely, the rain is too quiet for me. at least compared to past games.

Personally, they don't bother me much. But I also don't spend much time near them- my town is designed in a way where I rarely get close to them. I did have a fountain near one for awhile, though, but I eventually moved it in part because the sounds layered together were weird to me.

It's too loud for balloons or shooting stars, imo, and should be toned down for the reasons that they can drown out important sounds like those. So, yes, I agree they're too loud or there should be some way to dampen them down some when you get close to one using a control option. But hey, such is life. I have to say waterfalls really are deafening in real life as I've been to a beautiful one before, but I know we're not going for realism here, lol.

yeah, waterfalls are pretty loud irl lol, but ... that's because they're absolutely massive and usually incredibly tall. in NH, though, the waterfalls are only a little higher than the player. I imagine that for the waterfalls to be that loud and yet that close to the ground, the water would have to be running very, very fast. I've seen shorter waterfalls in my time and they are NOT that loud unless there's a very heavy current.

If you think about it, it's just really disproportionate in general

hahah, yeah. i once added a bunch of waterfalls to my island because i thought they were so pretty, and then i realized: there was absolutely no escape from the constant loudness of the waterfalls so i ended up getting rid of over half of them lol. rip my island designs :/

I didn't really consider the size of an actual waterfall compared to the ones in the game, so what you said is true. I guess I've just accepted the disproportionate size of things in this game. You made me aware.
