Anyone else felt deterred from getting a villager based on their original clothing?

Nope. But I'm glad they went from that ugly Gracie tank shirt for Wolfgang to that awesome flight jacket. My boy finally looks stylish.

This isn’t really something I would consider. They only hold 24 items and you can get rid of their default simply by giving them 24 copies of an item you like so...

Not really, considering I can gift them clothes to wear and they change clothes quite frequently. A lot of my villagers barely wear their default clothes, and mostly wear what I have given them.
