Smash Tour is probably one of the dumbest things I've ever played. Playing with CPU only is a painful experience, and playing with friends isn't much better. You have to fight with a bunch of fighters you probably aren't used to, and chances are if you get a fighter you like, you'll lose it within the next few turns because of the obnoxious items.
What do you guys think about this mode? I wish there were something better instead of it.

It doesn't bother me. The only thing that disappoints me is that it isn't online too.

eh it kinda sucks, I mean it's ok it's just that IT GIVES YOU CUSTOM MOVES AT RANDOM. When I get a character I want it to be something I'm used to, not some completely random set.

It takes a little getting used to but after I few rounds I had a good time with my m8's.
As Natty said though it would be awesome if online capabilities were there.

I'm kind of disappointed. While I wouldn't call it dumb, it does take some getting used to, and it can get boring and confusing. It's a blast with friends, however.

I wish you could limit the characters that appeared or it let you choose your first 2 characters. And I wish you could choose which fighter to use in a battle instead of whoever is next in line. And a lot of other things.

I'm sort of mixed on it.

The thing I like about it is that it forces you to use characters you might not use otherwise and get you experimenting with the entire roster. I also like that it chooses a character for you and all that, because it would make the mode redundant if you just plowed through it with one of your 'mains' every time. It hasn't yet 'shown me the light' and got me using any new characters outside of this mode, but I've at least given them a try, which is a good thing.
I guess this isn't really anything I couldn't do by just selecting 'random character' though.

The bad being the exact same reason I never used Smash Run on 3DS...It's only local multiplayer, which means it's probably only going to be very occasionally that I'll ever use it since VS CPU is just waaaay too easy...
I also kind of expected a bit 'more', but I think that's mostly my own fault for instantly comparing it to 'Mario Party' when I first heard of it. There's theme matches like every item being a Mr.Saturn but it's largely just normal matches with random characters given to you.

I've not played it multiplayer yet (if I ever even get the chance to) though I expect it to be way more fun. Most games are most fun by default when you have a friend with you though.

I don't think I'll be using it on my own again though unless there's any more challenges than the ones I've done that pop up for it.

I'm sure you can turn off 'custom characters'...Pretty sure I did it, because not knowing what moves I had was a step out of my comfort zone too far...Not to mention unfair against CPU's that obviously know what moves they've got whilst I'm trying to hide in the corner and find out...

My brothers won't stop playing it.

I personally think it's alright, but Mario Party 1-3 is a much better option at this point when it comes to party games.

But that's an unfair contest...Mario Party 1-3 are THE multiplayer game.

Smash has the disadvantage that 1 person is likely to be better than the others and 'rule the roost'...Mario Party doesn't really have that issue, it's just group fun.

It's a bit boring and the AI range from stupidly godlike to stupid. :/ Tried it a few times with my brother, he didn't like it and prefered Smash Run. I prefer this over Smash Run.

I'm mixed as well. It's a bit boring if I just played it over and over but thankfully it's something else to do. I wish I could put an Amiibo in there and have them play.

I think doing that would get rid of the 'random character' element though...As well as possibly being overpowering on other CPU's since Amiibo are supposed to be better than the usual AI.

I like that it will pick your other Mii's as the other players if you have enough of them though. It makes it slightly better than facing 3 nameless NPC's.

I like it it gives you more experience wit different characters you've never used before, but I wish it was a bit more like Smash Run, where the final battle isn't always a 4 player smash.
