Man... I'm exhausted! I just got back about 3 hours ago from summer camp, but I had a blast!
I got to do a ton of things... like spending the night in a shelter that I made myself with just sticks and leaves. I also made my own moccasins, hiked through tons of trails, raced a boat that I made, gathered round campfires in the evenings, helped to save some younger kids from becoming critically hurt, hung out with a bunch of college kids who loved music as much as I did, and I even got to spend some time bonding with my lilttle bro. I had quite the adventuresome week...and now I'm bushed. But I'm glad I went.
Well any of you guys been to a summer camp before?
It was really fun. Even if there were younger kids swarming around the whole camp like crazy. (I feel Bacon Boy's pain a little better now.)
But they gave me their respect because I was a lot older than them...and actually, one of our instructor sent us off into the woods to find sticks to make dream catchers out of, and one of the kids slipped and fell down a steep incline. He bowled over a couple of kids (this was a very steep incline) and was sliding towards the creek bank, and I leaped over and reached out my hand and grabbed him before he fell in. He hurt his ankle, and I instructed the other kids to hurry up and get their sticks and helped them back across the creek, and I carried him back by walking through the creek with him on me, and prevented him from getting severely hurt.
Awesome! Sounds like you went through survival school. No, I've never been to summer camp but lots of camping somewhat similar summer camp. Mostly hunting in winter and fishing in the summer.
I saw summer camp people, It looked like torture. Lol, so much little things for such little people, then i realized, it was for the little people. Lol, i saw the big kids one, and it was epic.
