I wonder if trading the 7-11 series would work. Has it been confirmed anywhere that scanning a card with the Japan elusive 7-11 stuff will make them available for use in the EU and US versions? I imagine it would work, but I can also see Nintendo making the items completely absent in non-Japan versions of the game.

Yes I got mine from Japan and have the 7-11 set. You can share it by saving it on more cards. I've already given out almost 10 cards. I'm just trying to hold out until series 2 release and then I'll be givning out more.

It works fine, confirmed for both EUR and US

I'd definitely be up for this as well. Might be slightly harder for me since I'm all the way in Europe.
