Anybody else just going to not have some personalities?

I'm not gonna have cranky or jock, honestly I can't stand em and I like other personalities Waaaay more. fellow nonpersonality havers of nook inc unite

I tried skipping jock and uchi back in NL but I got so bored of the repetitive dialogue lol. Since then I enjoy having them all! It really helps differentiate each villager and it adds a lot of variety ^^ Also I really enjoy the conversations between villagers, and having all personalities means more different possible combinations, not to mention DIYs and reactions this time around

I'm probably not gonna have an uchi, as much as I like them the only frog is Diva and.. she's probably my least favorite uchi ever

My problem is the repetitive dialogue. I also don't want to miss out on the reactions which are unlocked through certain personalities as well as the interactions and conversations between villagers.
My hope is that we will be able to have more villager plots through a DLC update in the future so I can get more of the villagers I love.

i hate jocks. I only have rod on my island at the moment for the simple fact is, is that i need him for the campsite method. I only have 2 that I'm doing the method for (Hazel, then Raymond) and after that? A jock will never grace this island.

I can't stand Jock dialogue, and I don't really like any of their designs. Probably will never have one.

I would do this but I'd be scared that some stuff, like DIYS, is potentially personality-locked. I wouldn't want to miss out. I haaaate the designs of the uchis though, so I wish I could!

I'm not fond of any sisterly villagers so I probably will skip out on them. Possibly cranky too, not entirely sure if I want to get Fang or not.

right now i don't have any normals in support of my four smug initiative but I kinda wanna pick one up since recipes and reactions are personality locked and... it's super hard for me to connect with colton for some reason even though he was the first of my current four that i got. i'll probably end up getting lolly, but idk, i need to really take a good look through a list of all the normals.

i really dont like jock dialogue or jock aesthetics enough to have one, but genji kind of has changed my mind once i made the connection that he looks just like the tamagtochi mametchi... so i will have him on my island soon.
but likely he'll be kicking out my only uchi, hazel. i havent been connecting with the uchi villagers well this game, neither my first one plucky nor my second one hazel.

i dont have snooty atm either. i've opted on doubling up on lazies and normals instead. i had bree and while i loved her design, the snooty personality really really did not click with me. something about her calling me darling and saying cheeseball in the same exact sentence just didn't feel right to me. LOL other than crankies (who are clearly old men) i just think of all of my villagers as being cute n playful and villagers calling me darling and stuff just feels off to me somehow.

and now that you dont need certain personalities for PWPs in NH anymore.... i find myself caring a lot less that im missing snooty and uchi on the island tbh

I agree.
Plus you wouldn't be able to learn all the reactions either (DIY recipes aren't such a huge problem since you can also trade for those and you also get random DIY's on the beach once a day).
I currently have 3 lazies in my town and while I love them, I made the tough decision to let Erik go when he asks as he's basically a copy-paste version of Sherb when it comes to dialogue and body movement.

You need all personalities if you wnt to get diys and reactions...so there is a downside to not having all types.....
