Anybody else having trouble catching the Venus Flower Basket?

Am I missing something? I've been circling my island for almost two hours now, picking up every single set of bubbles (because I don't know what size I'm looking for, the online sources give contradicting info) and I can't seem to nab this thing...

i caught one pretty quick, if i remember right it had a pretty good amount of bubbles (don't hold me to that though) but the main thing is it was really fast. i'd just ignore any other speed maybe

I forgot what size it is, but I remember it moving rather fast. Like the giant clam and isopod.

Really fast as in I'll have to chase it into a barrier? I'm pretty bad at that lol

I think I've found it...Im chasing something with a medium bubble stream that is way faster than me...

what i do is i swim without holding the a button so you're going as slow as possible, kinda like sneaking up on it. it should allow you to get really close if not right on top, especially if you do it in tiny bursts and kinda tap the joystick rather than hold it.

Beautiful. First time using your technique I caught it. I've been chasing it up until this point. Thanks seliph! I've clearly been diving incorrectly since NL lol

It moves shockingly quick, but I managed to catch one within 5 minutes.

The shadow size is medium. (It's not as big as a sea anemone but not as small as a sea slug.) It's similar to a vampire squid. You will know if it moves fast enough.

I've been having the same issue with the Umbrella Octopus and Spiny Lobster. Literally no fast creatures are spawning at all and I hate it.

I haven't put enough effort in to even find one yet, lol. Sounds hardly different from the isopod or clam though.
