Anybody a member of Club Old Leaf?

35 is old enough. I only mentioned 36 since Generation X is almost no longer 35 years old (Baby Boomers passed 50 now). 30 is the minimum age to join Old Leaf. I like the name, but I'm still young.

I bet COL is the best AC community out there.

30 and up is the age range for old leaf, however they allow people that are close to that age to join. There have been a few members in their 20's in old leaf. If you seem like a nice, and trustworthy player, then your not turned down.

Gamefaqs also has the pascaliwags club. It's for people 19 +. They are also a very nice group of players. Theres quite a few members on there that I completly trust in my town. They're also very helpful and generous.

There's also the Wishy's Star Co. too that has no age restrictions and some very polite people. It seems like players are more friendly when in clubs as opposed to just on the general forums.

I asked my young friend for her opinion about revealing my age of 56 on the Island and getting possible abuse and she suggested I say I am 11 which is 5 and 6 added together, I may actually do this as it is quite upsetting to be treated horrible just because of my age.

Players shouldn't be asking personal info on CT - and I wouldn't tell players my age nor say I was younger than I am

- I island hop and don't go very often (Once every few months, to boot 3am in my own region) - and I end up being errored or error myself a fair amount.

If you get a CT player that acts fairly reasonable - ie may ask to go on a tour with you (you earn more medals than going singly) but does not ask personal info - then I would play.
Anything even slightly untoward, I move on (if they let me leave the island normally then great) if not I error - I don't stand for any nonsense, nor should you.
You can block players so you never see them again (if really rude/weird) - I think its an icon somewhere along the bottom - never had to do as yet - I move on too fast, I don't let players get that far with me.

Here's the old leaf club (didn't know it was called that):

There is also the grown up gamers boad on animal crossing community.

I don't know either personally.

I had a young girl ask my age, and when I told her, she called me an old hag.lol.
Now when I'm asked my age, I say that I'm 92. Some of them believe me and are amazed that someone that old plays ac. Most of them call me a liar. For some reason, the rude players on CT amuse me.
Sometimes I tell them I'm 5. Then I type goofy things and misspell words. Most of the people on CT are kids, and the ones that ask your age are usually pretty young. Try not to let them ruin your fun. 56 is still young in my opinion, but to a kid, you and I are ancient.lol.

I love you.... lol

I never knew such a thing existed!

I'm probably too young to go join a forum like that. I'm 20.

I am not a member but I have met some people way older than I thought would have played on the island, I once met a grandma who was 80-something, she said she plays with her grandkids and loves how relaxing the game is to play! I thought it was the coolest thing she was acting all bada** because she said she would duplicate things so she could give them to her grandkids. So I have no doubts that more adult play, I'm only 21 but people on the island I used to meet before coming here were all 12-15 so I always felt old!

Sounds awesome! I'm 32 and I would love to see more old folk on AC! We should have our own old folk group on TBT!

Great idea

You can start groups on TBT, but there are a few difficulties:

1. You'll need 4,200 TBT to start a group.
2. They are sold out as of now. And I highly doubt that there's going to be a restock.

And one more thing, if you buy the group add-on, you have 30 days to create a group or the add-on expires. But a group for older members is a pretty good idea to me.

There you are. Nice to meet you here.

One thought I had was if they ask my age to just say I am an older player and leave it at that. If they pry for an age then maybe just leave.

I had another experience the other day. A guy came on the island and his message on his TPC said Stop Erroring Damn Kids. So I asked him if he meant the kids were erroring or the kids were getting errored. He said the kids were doing the erroring. As I was telling him he didn't have to worry about that with me, he asked my age and then said good in response to me telling him he didn't have to worry about me but then when I told him I was 53, he didn't say a word and just left. LOL. Ok, whatever. I don't really associate much with guys on the game anyways out of respect for my husband.
