Any use for fake paintings?

I just got my first fake painting today from Hopper... ;_; couldn't say no to him.
Is it worth anything on the Re-tail thread? or should I just chuck it to Reese?

Some people use them for decoration, or for symbolic reasons if they have a themed town (think the fake statue(s) in Aika Village).

Not sure how popular they are or how much you could get for them on here, though. I always just chucked mine in the trash (gotta save that 10 bell fee, LOL).

Usually I'll sell fake paintings (and by selling I mean selling them to Reese ), but sometimes I display them in my houses because I have an uncanny habit of displaying artwork in one of my characters' rooms x3

There are some people who are interested in them, but I don't think people will pay much for them since they are not that popular. You're better off just making it a giveaway than trying to sell it.

Some of them I want for myself, like a couple of the statues. The one with the bat wings is pretty cool. And I actually prefer the fake version of Girl With a Pearl Earring, so once I've filled my art museum I'll be buying very specific fakes for my own house. But for the most part I just trash them at Reese's

You can display them in your house, as decoration. You can do that with the real paintings too, but you would rather donate the real ones then display them. The fake ones can't be used otherwise so you can just display them or pay to dispose them.
