In my town Avalon, there is just a biiiig wiiide empty space that is smack dab in the middle of my town. I was gone for a while and so it kind of turned into a patchy field of wild flowers. It's in front of my house, and I want to do something cool there, but not sure what. I already have a little cedar forest in the top left corner of my map and a couple of fruit orchards to the bottom and middle left. There's not a real solid theme to my town, so I'm open to a wide variety of suggestions, if anyone has any! Or just giving me some examples of things you've done!

How about a topiary garden? You could change it depending on the season, like in winter you could replace the topiaries with illuminated PWPs.

First thing I'd do is think about if I wanted to place a pwp there or not. Second I would check out my landscaping supplies. And thirdly I would browse tumblr and pintrest for inspiration.

Agree. Before my villagers started requesting larger PWPs, I had massive amount of wide open spaces. Of course, all my villagers like to move within 2 steps of one another, so that didn't help. But now, I'm glad that is the case. I can build a lighthouse or windmill wherever I want! I had this open space in an odd part of my own, so I built the flower clock there and made it into a flower garden. It paths to the campsite and I'm actually quite happy the way it turned out.

I'm a huge fan of benches ( metal ), and street lamps. I personally would probably plant a couple of my favorite fruit trees, add a bench or two and a couple of street lamps. I like things to be symeyrical. A path lined with bushes and flowers leading up to my door. And if there's enough room, I would put in a flower arch or fountain. ( maybe both. It would be my own little front yard. A nice place to kick back and read a book. :)

In a couple of my towns I picked a favorite villager and made a special area for them.I had a large area in the middle of town and I made a zen park for Octavian.I also made a playground for Joey in my other town.

I really like this idea! I don't have them unlocked yet though, and April is a few months away. I don't really TT in this town, but maybe I will. I think I might like to do something with them if I can get them unlocked! Thanks for the suggestion! :)

It has quite the large open space. I wanted it to be that way. I currently have it set up as a little park with topiaries outside the area.

I have purposely kept this area wide open with only removable PWPs. I plan to always keep this area wide open - full of possibilities.

Just place lots of trees!
That’s what I do in mine and t makes it look complete sort of.

I probably will add some trees, but I feel like it's just too big to do all trees, if that makes sense!

Yeah! I do look at tumblr, pinterest and youtube as well! I got inspiration for the smaller area I landscaped from there. Maybe I need to divide the bigger space into small sections.. hmm.

That's sound really pretty! I don't have the windmill pwp yet, but I would love to put it somewhere in my town eventually, if I ever get it! There is definitely some plus sides to having massive amounts of open space!

I wish my villagers would give me more pwp! I only have the yellow bench! I would love the iron looking one or the wood log one!
I think if I had more pwp, I would probably know what to do more! but that's also a good idea! Right now it's basically my giant front yard, and there's no one to the right or left of my home either! all my villagers are above the river, and my house is just below the river!

Okay, I actually LOVE the idea of making a special area for some of my favorite villagers!! That's such a cool idea. I think I might try to do that. Use them as inspiration. Those are both super cute, thanks for sharing the pics!
