Any tips on cleaning your room?

It's funny because I'm always told I need to clean my room because "how can you find anything in this".

I find everything, but when I ask my parents where something is they have to overturn the entire house in order to find it. I thought they said that cleaning up made it easier to find stuff??

Exactly, my room is "dirty" but I know where everything is. Plus I have too much stuff I don't need/ didn't ask for in my room so I don't know how my mom expects me to keep it clean.

Do you have shelves?
Try to organize them, but books you have on the floor (if that is the case) in them, put your clothes on hangers in your closet, throw away any junk. Well it is pretty easy. I am a perfectionist, so my room is 24/24 h clean.

Ha I clean my room for free I don't even get allowance!

I feel poor compared to you guyz :/

If you're doing an entire room clean out, I'd start with sections of your room. (closet, bed, desk, dresser, etc) Get garbage bags to rid of anything you don't want , and keeps it out of the way. Organize everything into sections or just make it look less clutter by arranging it. Put any dirty clothes into your hamper, and put away your clean clothes into your dresser/closet. if you have a walk in closet, you can store excess things that clutter your room. Often times you have to make an even bigger mess, to clean up as a whole. But its worth it ^^ You might even find stuff you didn't know you had.
