So my dad promised me a clothes shopping spree if I cleaned my room, and I wanted to do it as efficiently as possible. Anybody have any tips or ideas?

Shove everything in the closet and under your bed :D

or just clean it like I do

Don't procrastinate on the bell tree by making threads on simple tasks. Put your stuff where it belongs. Dust everything. Make your bed. And vacuum

The end

Try this

Just do it haha. Every move you make can be progress. It's not hard to get into the rhythm of it!

I say start with stuff on the floor to give yourself space to move around. If you're scrubbing, try your elbow grease first before using chemicals. If you're sweeping, put your hands low on the broom for more control. Don't miss corners. Organize everything by section.

The easiest way is to open a rift in space, shove everything in, and hope to Batman that you didn't just cause the Universe to implode. That's the only way. I wish you luck.

Of course if you're unable to open a rift, under the bed is just as good.

Get a trash bag and throw anything that you don't need / is trash into it. Then start picking up things and putting them back where they go. Dust, then vacuum, etc.

I'm a professional room cleaner trust me ok. I once helped my friend clean her room and it took seven hours because she literally had one pathway from her door to her bed and there were scISSORS IN HER PILLOWCASE just shows how messy she is smh pig

Scissors in the pillowcase...was she using them to cut her hair before falling asleep halfway through?

Don't clean your room. Leave it a mess.

Problem solved.

Or push everything under the bed. Your choice.

I just put everything on the floor and then sort it out.
I grab the clothes first and take them to the washing machine
Then I'll grab the rubbish, sorting out what can be recycled, and what can't, and then throw it out.
Then keep going from there. Since your shelves should have nothing on them since everything on the floor you can put anything you want on your shelves (I usually out stuff that I use often, and then out the stuff I don't use often in the cupboard) and just keep organizing from there. It's also good to dust your shelves when there's nothing in them, and then vacuum when everything is off the floor

That's what I do and it always works out for me.

Also don't be a hoarder, if there's something you barely use or don't need, throw it out or donate it

I usually start by making my bed, that makes the whole room seem neater. Then I take all of my clothes and either put them in the laundry basket if they're dirty, or fold them and hang them up if they're clean. That should take care of a good part of the mess. Then you can throw away all the papers and wrappers to things that you don't need any more, if you have any dishes bring them to the kitchen and clean them. In the end, you might get too tired to finish before you've finished organizing everything so just take everything that doesn't have a place yet and put it in a big box. That way everything looks neat and you can see your progress. Then next time you are ready to clean more, you just take things out of the box and decide where to put them :)

Also, you can't be as bad as my boyfriend, he had so many random papers and crap in his drawers that none of his clothes fit and he just piled them up on the floor! It was ridiculous!

What if they made their room dirty on purpose just so their dad can give them money to clean?

Don't kill me, just a thought.
lol no because my dad pays me every month for keeping it clean so i wouldnt get it dirty on purpose

thank you senpai

Do everything in stages and do not move on to the next stage before you have finished the one you are on first, otherwise you'll just end up getting frustrated and make it complicated.

I always start with the floor first, if you can clear it straight away you can get to other parts of your room more easily and you can then use your floor space to create piles of stuff, e.g. paper/plastic recycling pile, general waste, stuff you want to keep, etc. and go through these piles of stuff. This normally works for me and is the least complicated.
After this I try to leave a bin and some other boxes to put my rubbish/recycling in to prevent a mess in the future and I have other containers to keep my desk tidy.
