Any tips for MAKING a villiager move?

So from the beginning of the game, My town had A character i really didnt like, and i still dont like him, Several other villiagers have offered to leave, Except for him, And in the end i gave up Sly to see if that would help, I never ever ever talk to this character, i dont send them letters, I ignore their requests, i only talk to them sometimes to see if they want to leave, but he never seems to. Its like all the nice characters want to leave except for him.

(( also im talking about Rizzo, Sorry for reffering to him as 'him' the entire post ))

Try treating him like you would any villager you liked. I've had villagers that I'm really nice to still ask to leave even when I've helped them a lot and talked to them every day.

I think it's totally random when a villager decides to move, regardless of how well you've treated them. As Lotte said, I'd stay being nice to him just so you can get some items and whatnot (whilst you painstakingly wait for him to move haha).

Im lliterally dealing with the same exact thing...Clay will not NOT move...I even TT months and he's not bulging...every other villager has asked to move except him too :O

I googled Clay because I've never seen/heard him before

His house is pretty cool but that's about as much going for him imo, I'm not a fan of the hamster villagers

I read in interesting tip. Talk to the villager once and only once. Then, ignore him completely for a week and he will move.

Ignoring my villagers always worked for me. It's a long process, but I ignored Willow for about a couple of weeks & she ended up moving [:

I don't know if that's true. Of my five starters: Teddy, Analise, Wendy, Flurry, and Ricky, only three have ever asked to leave. Teddy and Wendy have never mentioned moving in the month and a half since the game's been out in the US.

I'm having the same problem. Someone I love (Walker) asked to move today and luckily he was persuaded to stay, but someone I despise (Flo) has never even considered moving. I treat them both the same.

I've also been trying to get rid of Rizzo, he was one of my starting villagers and he's still here a month and a half later! I got rid of Canberra easily (she wasn't a starter villager) and Dotty moved out after I whacked her a few times with my net. But Rizzo is the only one I don't want in my town, I want someone new, my town is full, but he won't leave so I can get a new villager.

unless they are new, then you have to talk to them at least once before they move
at least that's what happened to me
