My town is pretty dull. I mean it doesn't really stick out. I want to theme my town but I dont want like pink candy or anything. Tell me what your theme is?

A modern theme town would work well. You should also throw in the illuminated projects.

Houses can have the city theme or present day theme.

But what themes do you like more?

I have a semi-rural/flower town. Basically a stone brick path with flowers along each side, and a LOT of fruit trees. Bonus points if you give your villagers old-styled or plain clothing.

Mine is a rose-centric, pink, french based town i suppose? I just based it off mostly my personal tastes and interests, really.

I don't think you necessarily have to stick to a certain theme, what I would probably do if I were you is just go with the flow and do whatever makes you happy. (You can theme it off whatever personal interests you have or things you enjoy, for example.) I'm sure that overtime your town will continue to flourish in its own ways and you will discover on your own what your town's theme is! I'm sure your town is not entirely dull at all, just keep working with it by playing your game (b-but I wouldn't say until it feels like more of a chore than fun..? if you kinda get an idea of what I mean) and you'll find out something eventually!

Good luck with finding your own theme to stick with dear :) Be adventurous!

My theme is colorful.

Variety of villagers, different colors all around, bright, and stands out.

mine is a rose theme .

Im having natural paths with pink roses as the boarder . c:

Hope that gives you an idea o:

Mine has an overgrown, foresty theme c:

But not too overgrown.
It's not a forest, it's a village in a forest

Sorry that didn't make sense

Yeah, I wanted pink candy wonderland at first but eh, I ended up getting naturey theme :') It's pretty chill

XD you are not going to like my theme:

A cute pink, pretty park town! With a lot of gardens, pwps, bushes, flowers, peach and cherry trees and pink/white roses!

XD started my town about a week ago .-. But I have 3.2 MILLION bells! :D

One is a 4 seasons/storybook theme
Another is a Farm/nursery rhyme theme
The other one is themed, but i'm not sure what to call it.
I'm currently working on a 4th town. The town will be a bit more natural than the others. The characters are from older cartoons.I'm working on Rainbow bright, the smurfs, Winnie the Pooh, and The Looney tunes. It's been really fun so far.

I didn't want a pink town or a candy town or a modern town, so I'm going to keep things nature-oriented. Visitors should feel like they're visiting a countryside by the sea. Ettienne's house will be like a French villa.

My town's theme is 'city of the setting sun and rising moon' -- one side of town is themed to look best at sunset (5-7PM), and the other side of town is themed to look best at nighttime (8PM-5AM). It also has lots of fairytale architecture.

The theme of my town is loosely based on Laverre City from Pokemon X/Y. It has mainly fairy-tale elements, with a few creepy touches. I dunno, I say just start adding things to your town that you like, and you may start to see a theme emerge.

I have a fairy tale theme. It's just pretty brick paths, flowers, and PWPs. I'm still trying to decide what to do with my second town.

Mystic doesn't really have a theme, though I did try to make it look like a rustic seaside town (only cause I like the ocean and nature).

Piyo has a pre-k theme to it.

Both villages are still WIPs cause I can't seem to get pings for the PWPs I need to really complete the look and feel of the villages (I have tried the diving trick, but I just keep getting pinged to give them suggestions for new catchphrases or greetings).

And if I ever stop cycling, I have an idea for a Portal 2 themed town. That, or if I get tired of Piyo's theme once it's completed.
