I never really got a chance to finish it. I got up to the part where Kirito (?) comes back home finds out about the thing and then I gave up because of the elf ears in the op :/

Ya the second half wasnt as good but i still enjoyed the characters so i continued on
I only completed the first season, so this is my idea of how the series was like till then. It kinda felt like such a stale and weird romance anime after only the first few episodes. There is literally like 4 or so girls falling in love with Kirito, and the fanservice is just... ugh, it was so uncomfortable to watch. To be honest, I was hooked on it for a few episodes or so, but after that it was a struggle was real to finish the first season.

Oh my gosh I absolutely LOVE SAO! Wonderful plot, though I did get a little disturbed near the end of season 1, (0-O) and the fact that literally every single girl falls in love with Kirito (EVEN HIS OWN COUSIN! .-.) but otherwise it's great. Plot is what I search for in a good anime, and it's funny that I like SAO as much as I do, considering violence isn't something I will like, outside of The Legend of Zelda and Puella Magi Madoka Magica. Can't wait for another season.

OMYGODOMYGOD I just big watched it all in a day, and I freaking loved it, I don't get why people don't like ALFheim, but I enjoyed it. The only part that got me was sough... Soguo? (The bad guy in ALFheim) The 24th episode with him was just too creepy (but I really enjoyed the a** beating Kirito gave him) and...yeah, I love SAO
the first season is amazing, but it started going down hill after season two. dont get me wrong, s2 was great but it didn't really meet my expectations. the arcs of the second season were actually pointless imo, but some were worth watching. overall, sword art online is amazing but like pretty much every second season i watch, it's not as good as the first season
I first watched it a while ago when I had just seen it on crunchyroll, and I eagerly stayed up to watch the first episode of S2 <3
Have you read the light novels and manga? I've read all the ones out now, progressive, and the main manga xD I could guess you could say that I'm a big fan!
BTW IF YOU READ THE LIGHT NOVELS-FOR YOUR OWN SANITY DO NOT READ THE END OF CHAPTER 16. THE MANGA, IM NOT SURE OF CHAPTER BUT BE CAREFULunless you like that kind of stuff o.o
