It takes 3 days, and they need medicine 3 times to recover, then they give you a gift for your help c:
So you need to give them medicine everyday for 3 days.

Poor Papi was sick a while ago. I was a little intrigued to be honest since he was the first villager that ever got sick. But poor Papi. Good thing is I nursed him back to health ^^ He gave me something in the mail but I couldn't remember what is was haha.
