any known ACNH scammers on this site?

not sure if this is in the right section, but i generally would like to be aware of any active scammers on this site so i could be cautious when trading. thanks!

I have seen / heard of rude members who plucks a flower or shakes a tree without the host’s permission, but I have not heard of any scammers.
I sincerely hope no one in this forum will ever meet scammers...

I think having a rating system/feedback really helps... I haven't had any issues trading here!

Honestly, I think the best thing to do is to check the other user's feedback before trading with them. If someone has scammed before, that should be indicated in the form of negative feedback on their profile - and you may be able to see if someone has left a comment on them before.

In my experience trading here, I haven't come across any scammers. I think that generally, the community is much better than some of the other trading forums. You're more likely to encounter a rude trader (eg. one who ghosts you, one who tries to pluck flowers, etc.).

i think the only way to detect scammers is through the rating system since blacklisting / calling people out isn’t allowed on here. but in the 5 years that i’ve been on the forums, i haven’t encountered a scammer once or had a bad experience as 99.9% of the people on here are absolutely lovely ;u;

I've yet to be scammed. I did have one encounter with someone who brought me the wrong kind of vending machine, but I don't think english is their first language and they were otherwise really nice

I think scammers are more often seen on other websites such as discord and reddit, but as always just approach trades with caution (e.g. check post history, feedback).

As everyone has said check feedback. If any scammers happen to pop up the moderators are quick to ban them anyway.

We do not allow blacklisting on here, so even if someone has had a bad encounter with someone they are not permitted to "warn" you of them.

As other users have recommended, please look at a user's feedback on their profile to assess whether or not you are comfortable trading with them. Also do note that having less than 100% does not make someone untrustworthy. One-off bad encounters or mistakes do happen.
