Any hints for helping me get Uchi pwps?

I've been doing different variations of the diving trick while having my uchi trapped with holes and it's working so far, but my dilemma is that I can rarely find my uchi. She's always in town or in her house, so I can't trap her then.
I've tried tting a few hours to get her to wander around town but that doesn't seem to help.

Any suggestions?

Well, depending on your amiibo cards and if you've already got your dreamies I suggest adding more uchi's to the town? the more uchi, the more chances there are for them to be outside and ping you, and so the pwp's will unlock faster.

I also think you don't need to TT to get different villages out, you can just save and quit? I may be wrong though. When I was doing the diving trick I found that eventually, going forward and back an hour at a time eventually made my one jock appear. Also, if you set the time to night I think there's a better chance of an uchi being outside, I think. Just keep at it and you'll get your pwp's eventually! It took me a few weeks of the diving trick to get all that I wanted.

Well, I'm already pretty set on who is in my town, and I don't want to cycle through to get anyone back, but I'll add another uchi if I have to.
If uchis are out at night, that will help immensely, so I can trap them and ping them.

There's no trick. Start your game. Avoid all villagers except Uchi. Make sure you have a full inventory of useless stuff like shells. Wait for them to ping.

Also be sure to trap ALL your villagers, so you won't run into them while you're going to the uchi.

Uchis go to sleep at 3am, so if you go around 2am probably only her and your cranky will be awake. So it'll be easier to get her pings.
