Granted, due to my age, I'm not supposed to be watching it, but I've been exposed to worst things on the internet. Anyway...
Hazbin Hotel fans? So far I've only met one person who plays AC and watches Hazbin Hotel/Helluva Boss. Of course, the recent news broke about A24 (the studio who did Midsommar, Euphoria, Hereditary, etc.) and Vivziepop working on the show together, which is very exciting. I can only hope they don't change the animation style.

Edit: I'd also like to thank the people concerned for me. I have and always will try to be as safe on the internet as possible. I've seen far worse things irl/on TV. Would also like to add that I have an unfortunate amount of bad life experience due to domestic issues/unresolved trauma and this isn't taking the cake for all the horrible things I've seen online. I don't take any of the issues portrayed in Hazbin Hotel lightly (implied r**e, drugs, murder, etc.) and they do not reflect my personality at all. That is all.

I watched the pilot episode of Hazbin Hotel, the story of it made me interested in the series, looking forward to watching the second episode!

I only watched the pilot, but I saw the hellhound girl from Helluva Boss so I might watch both. What're your guys' favorite characters?

I enjoyed it, though it was a bit fast paced at first but besides that it was fun, I look forward to more episodes

my favorite charaters so far are sir pentious, alastor and Nifty, I look forward to seeing the rest of the cast

If you're saying you're too old to watch it, a lot of things labeled as kid shows handle deeper subject matter, with more finesse than your average special effect laden blockbuster. I've seen a clip, and it has some heart behind it, for now.

I believe they mean they are too young to watch , since the show is aimed towards the adult crowd rather then minors

but that being said, I personally don't see what's wrong with minors watching it, I doubt the show will go too far with things visually (besides with the gore) and there are plenty of cartoons geared to adults that minors still watch despite some of the content shown in them

Yeah, I'm not really in the intended age range. Too young :/ It isn't too bad though - I've always been kind of an old soul, I guess?

gonna preface this by saying that i don't intend to start discourse/arguments, and don't want to shame your interests or anything. nor do i mean to sound condescending. but vivziepop is not a good person and i would refrain from supporting any of her content. being critical of the shows you watch is very important, especially with something like HH, but considering the creator and people on the team straight up have a history of pedophilia/abuse/zoophilia and more, it's a different story.

vivzie herself has stolen characters, traced animations, romanticizes and draws stuff like bestiality and pedophilia (teacher/child relationships), has shown support for people who've done blackface/are racist/transphobic/fatphobic/ableist and known abusers (one of which i believe works on her show). her series zoophobia apparently has a LOT of nsfw despite being aimed toward a younger audience. she does not apologize for anything she's done, said, or supported. this is a post with sources on all of this, though a couple of the links aren't working anymore unfortunately, i couldn't find a better one atm.

not to mention that HH itself is full of stereotypes (angel dust being an incredible gay stereotype, being a flamboyant and effeminate sex worker or adult film star or whatever that just says a bunch of nsfw jokes; a lesbian character literally being named vaggie?? and also a latina stereotype by being easy to anger; there's probably more but i myself haven't watched the show). "edgy/offensive" humor isn't an excuse for straight up homophobic/racist/transphobic/etc. comments and jokes, even if the series takes place in hell.

i know you feel that you're old enough for that kind of content, i definitely felt like i was at that age, too, but being exposed to that sort of stuff can take a realllll toll on your brain. if you're allowed unsupervised on the internet, self-regulate/moderate the content you consume. set strict boundaries for yourself and how you let people interact with you. seeking and and engaging in anything nsfw makes way for EASY access to bad situations. you have to be especially conscious of the age of the people you're talking to. even if it seems like only jokes, even if it's just over the internet, joking about or talking about a show that has a lot of nsfw themes with an adult as a young teen is bad news. in those situations, the adult has the responsibility to watch what they're saying, and the minor has the responsibility to keep their distance when possible. believing and saying that you're "mature for your age" (in regards to consuming nsfw content) is also an easy opportunity for bad things to happen, practically leaving a door cracked open for others to take advantage of.
i swear i don't mean any of this in a rude way and i hope i don't sound condescending or anything, i'm just someone who grew up on the internet and knows what it can do you to, and has seen some of the bad things that've happened because of people not being careful.

i'm not asking you to not be a fan of the show, but i'm just putting this out there in the hopes that you weren't aware of it rather than... knowingly and willingly supporting someone like this. i also normally wouldn't come onto a thread like this specifically asking for other fans just to bash the show (even though it's more pointing out legitimate problems), but i just saw some red flags and felt the need to address it. if you read through this, thanks for giving it the time :]

i dont really care about it but the people trying to cancel the creator is really funny to me, specifically the whole anger about bad lgbt rep because it isnt steven universe

so I kinda wanted to point out there is a lot more to Angel dust then gay stereotype as shown by this official comic the guy does have some depth to him and the way he behaves is a kind of an act he puts on

also remainder, angel dust is most likely in hell due to his criminal background,he was born into a mafia crime family and has probably killed many people when he was still alive

I'm just going to reply with this

I enjoyed Hazbin Hotel a lot. The characters are offensive and stereotypical, but when the series literally takes place in Hell, I think that it's already a little bit late to be offended about that, but I don't blame people for being turned off by it. My interpretation is mostly that the characters pretty much own their stereotypes, rather than being used as a means of belittling or invalidating them. It never came across as malicious on the part of the writers. Also, Charlie is adorable, and the way she plays off other characters is great.

That's generally why I'm not a fan of the sister show, Helluva Boss, though. In that show, everyone is a terrible person, but not in a particularly charming or interesting way. It's just sort of the usual "adult cartoon" cliches played completely straight without any amount of character, story, or social commentary to actually dissect. At least, none that I could see.

Haven’t seen helluva boss, but I enjoyed Hazbin Hotel! I’m not normally a fan of crude adult humor, but this show pulls it off super well and my favorite character was actually Angel Dust. I hope more of it gets made because I’m definitely a fan and I’d really love to see where it’s going :)

This whole "they're in hell because they're gay/part of the LGBTQ+ community" thing is literally absurd. Angel Dust sold/did drugs while alive and due to being affiliated with the mafia either was involved in murders or even committed them himself. Alastor was a serial killer/cannibal while alive, and most people believe Vaggie was r****d before she died, and the reason she is missing an eye is because she fought back and probably killed her attacker. Charlie was born in hell. Some people really need to get the facts straight

I’m not the intended audience either, and my parents would probably think it’s inappropriate for me to be watching this but I kinda liked it. I only watched the pilot episode, it was good, I don’t mind the humor, but I don’t think I’d watch it again.

Yeah I really enjoyed it myself. My parents are mostly OK with me watching most things as long as I don't carry behaviors exhibited in movies/shows/books over into my real life :p

from what I heard Vaggie committed s****e and her missing eye reflects where she s*** herself (but that is just a theory)
though that theory you mentioned does kind of explains why she has a dislike for men
