It's October and I thought it'd be fun to play some spooky games for the month, and wanted to share the games I have, and if anyone else has some spooky or Halloween games to mention, and for others to try out!

I don't have this one, but Little Nightmares 3 is coming out, and it looks soo good! Still need to finish the end of Little Nightmares 2.

Games I have:
Maiden of Black Water

Resident Evil 2

Evil Tonight

Horror Tales: The Wine

I also have the Amnesia games on switch!

Between my Switch and Steam, I have quite a few and plan on doing the same. Glad you mentioned Evil Tonight, I have that(though I've never beaten it) and really enjoy it! I've never played any of the Fatal Frame games, though I want to...the Amnesia series is pretty good too(still have to beat Rebirth though). Some other games I'd recommend:

Alien: Isolation
The Last Door series
Clock Tower
Outlast
Lone Survivor
Silence of the Sleep

If I think of any others, I'll list' em! :)

Yes! I don't play super scary games, either, tbh (like Resident Evil or Silent Hill). It's just not enjoyable for me (despite the fact that I love horror films and I do enjoy watching streamers play through these games, lol).

Some "scary, spoopy, October" games of all kinds to enjoy (either that have released or to be released):

1. Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines 2 (releases 21/10/25 for PC)

Looking forward to this, but really, if you're a fan of RPGs, you should definitely play the first game of Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines (I'd rather not post a trailer because it really doesn't do it justice -- and, imo, you should just go in blind!). When I played it the first game, back in 2004, I knew absolutely nothing about the game, World of Darkness or the VtM tabletop RPG. Since playing it, I got really into the lore and the universe! It really is that good. There are some really scary bits but otherwise the vibe is what I enjoy!

2. The Smiling Man: Famicom Detective Club (already out on the Switch!)

If you like detective-type games and visual novels, please look ito the Famicom Detective series 🥸. I love all three games, but this one is definitely the "scariest" out of all of them. It has some really nice twists in terms of the storyline.

3. The Fears to Fathom series (all episodes out and available on Steam)

If you don't like playing through them, you can look at a stream of all 5 games on the video above. I love the low-poly graphics and the 90s vibe of the five episodes!

Thank you for the suggestions! I definitely know about Outlast, would watch walkthroughs from certain youtubers years ago; maybe I could add that as watching them again.
Dunno how good the second outlast is though 🤔

I have played a little bit of Evil Tonight, but it was really fun, the bits I did play!
I didn't know there were other Fatal Frame games, until I was seraching for this specific game, I honestly just loved the trailer so much I had to buy it! I kinda love the look of those Japanese horror games, I remember watching Pewdiepie play a similar game that used a phone for the gameplay.
Honestly, can't wait to play this game, I really need a whole day where I am free to try them out!

Lone survivor looks really good! And the last door!

I keep hearing about Resident evil from my friend who has played them, and I kinda watched. He streamed his actually!
Thank you for the suggestions, they do look really cool! I'll add them too!

I am really into the RPG's as well as the pixel looking games, there's a better word for that, but for example I used to watch people play a lot of these games:
Witch's House
Ib
Misao
Corpse's Party
Mad Father

Just love the simple designs. Probably why old pokemon games are still relaxing for me to play.

I knew I forgot one:
