For the longest time, I’ve been trying to catch the Mahi Mahi. I’ve been fishing off the pier with fish bait for a few months now and still nothing. Any critters you are struggling to catch?

I have checked my trees every day, multiple times a day. I have run around chasing away other bugs trying to get it to spawn. I have not had. A single one. I caught everything else that is available thus far. Except. This shell. H e l p.

I’ve been looking for some walking sticks to make into models and i’ve only seen one that i donated to the museum. Plus they come out when I’m sleeping and are gone by the time I wake up (I could just tt but i still have trouble finding them since there are times I’ll be up when they come out and still don’t see them).
Tarantulas but only because I missed their season since I didn’t have the game when they were available.
Golden stag - I found enough to donate to the museum and make one model but haven’t found any since. I’d like some more models of them.
Giraffe stag - I don’t think I have found even one of them. Would like a model of them too :/

There's one of the stag beetles that I just can't seem to catch. I always accidentally stop the stealthy walk or use my net too early or too late.
There's a bunch I haven't found yet so I have no idea. I need to pay more attention to the bugs with smaller time frames.

I need one more orchid mantis for a model. Before I decided on that, I was tripping over them left and right. Now? I swear the game knows! It's looking at my storage going, "Oh, you want to make a model? Yeah, we'll give you 500 man-faced beetles and stinkbugs. How's that?"

Also looking desperately for the Mahi Mahi. Got a giant trevally the other day finally after it spawned naturally by the pier without any bait, I was so relieved.
I also need the ranchu goldfish but since it's year round I'm not as pressed about getting it right now as I am for the Mahi Mahi. Those are the only two fish/bug/sea creatures I need until next month.

the giraffe stag model is really neat, its one of the larger ones, so hope u find enough to make it
i finally found enough, but the walking stick has been giving me a hard time getting enough for a model. even during its time window it just didn't want to show up
it finally stopped but used to be my main character couldn't find the vampire squid. my secondary character had found 4 before i finally caught one with my main

The scorpion scares me. It's stung me so much that now I just avoid it. I can't figure out how to catch it without it catching me first

Giraffe stag and mahi mahi along with the ranchu goldfish. I somehow managed to catch both a cicada shell AND walking stick on the first day of release, but yet these stubborn creatures evade me!

I had issues and still sometimes do (especially when I don’t see it on my screen; sometimes it chases me around my island too). You have to hold a and walk until it raises its pincers and tail; stop when it does that. When it lowers them, walk until it does it again; repeat until you’re within a net’s reach and then catch it.

Thanks! I'll try this when I see a scorpion and gather up the courage to approach! Haha, it shouldn't matter, as it just brings me back to my house, but I hate it when it stings me. It looks so scary as it's charging!

I feel ya - it took me 3 months of playing to finally catch one! Most of the time they kept sneaking up on me and getting the jump on me from behind

can't find a ranchu goldfish OR a walking stick. I got a cicada shell... and a hercules beetle... even a golden stag. I. Can't. Do. It.

another thing i dont know if one of the updates fixed is the scorpion cant fully cross the plank bridge, gets right on it then hits an invisible wall and you can casually walk up and catch it. so if u have a plank bridge and one chases u, try to get to and across it if you can. the other bridges i dont know about except the stone bridge, it can get over those
