Any advice to make NH more fun?

I took a break for a month in Dec and then created a new profile/character with a zen/Japanese theme. It's been nice to decorate a house with a style different from the rest of my island.

There's always terrsaforming, too, but that's daunting.

i just keep decorating my island or building new houses
i also like to go to harv's island and make loads of different scenes with amiibos, which is super fun

i feel like i always find some way of making this game entertaining and if i can't i just turn it off for a while then come back to it later ☆

Playing less sometimes helps me enjoy it more. I'm planning on taking a short break after Festivale until March or maybe the anniversary date. I don't want to burn out playing this game. I've already limited my time to only playing an hour. Right now there aren't many things to do. If you feel like you're not enjoying it as much as you used to, maybe step back, give it some time, and return when you feel comfortable.

I seconded to this.

I been playing a hour each day just to keep the game fresh. So far, it's working for me. :)
