I'm (hopefully) entering university in a STEM related field in about a year and I want to hear people's thoughts, memories, regrets, and/or advice!

Try to make friends right off the bat, and join a club if you have the opportunity. I didn't talk to anyone during my first two years because of other stuff going on in my life and when I finally wanted to connect with people in third year, they all already had friend groups so I haven't been able to get past the acquaintance phase with anyone. Obviously it's important to do well in your classes but my friends that go to other universities have made a ton of new friends and are having a totally different experience while I still sit by myself in every class and at every break, and it's pretty sad.

I haven't entered college yet (I start my first year this fall), but I've been told not to take more than 4 classes.

I'm in the same boat as you, luckily I know some people in university. They mostly said that if you don't enjoy what you're doing, don't be scared to change your focus.
