Lately, I've been tting to give Tom more gifts, but today I found out about a new option. In Nook shopping, there is an option to send to a resident.

Does it work like mail?
When does Tom receive it?
Does it increase friendship?
Should I deliver gifts myself or this way?

No it doesn't work for villagers. Residents are players that live in your town. I use it to order items for my extra players.
