another question about resetting plots

So Olivia was boxed on the 13th, the 14th she was gone, now its 6am the next day and I have a new guy, and reset twice and there are no plots period.

You can keep resetting if you want to, but it could take awhile to get a plot and a really long time to find a villager you want, since a plot won't appear every time.

If you already have 9 villagers, another one won't move in randomly (you have to get it from somewhere else, via various methods)

Yeah, if you get bored of resetting, just save when a plot doesn't show up and try again tomorrow.

Just save when a plot doesnt appear each day
then on the 7th day you can reset knowing there will definitely be a plot each time
