Isabelle will ONLY make a male villager wear a blue gym shirt, and a female villager a red gym shirt.
That's it.
There's no randomness, and there's no reverting back to their original shirt.

Isabelle made one of mine change into that ugly kiddie tee...the one that looks like Lego Bricks, in primary colors...it was BAD...just BAD!!

Olaf once changed into the... Ducky Tank. It was the most heinous thing I've ever seen. At least he's in the Gold Armor Suit now.

What Laser Beam suggested at first is the quickest way imho

"You can always just order one at mail it to her before a mail round, then reset if she's not wearing it a few minutes later."

It avoid houses overridden by clothes, too, which are always a pain to get rid of. Since changing clothes/furniture is, imho, to be completely random, it's much better and cheaper and accurate to do the mail round method.

What Lohad said is true, too. I tested it many times lol. I ended up with every villager in a gym tee.
