Another day, another blog post!
Today's little slice of Animalia is actually three parts: the remaining rooms of the first floor of my house.
First up, here we have the west wing, my kitchen. I love how the ranch furniture looks in contrast with a lot of the white kitchen-themed items and the ceramic tile floor, and I also found many, many food-themed things that fit in well. My brewstoids are also here, and I feel they add a great touch, especially with the clinking and pouring noises of the two on the right. You can't see it in this pic, but I also have a cacao tree in the bottom left corner that I think fits in very well.

Here's my back room, or as I like to call it, my "trophy room". When I first started this room, I wanted to put in a full sleek set, and some sleek items are still here, but it kind of developed into a room for all my treasures and pics as time went on. I have pics of all my dreamies here, along with all my post-office collectibles, trophies, lucky cats (which I really like), and my favorite part of it: the fireplace in the back with a big bookshelf on each side. To be honest, this is definitely my least favorite room in my house; my problem is I have no idea what else to do with it!

And lastly, my east wing, which I've converted into an outdoor area. I have a picnic table, doghouse, lawn chairs, and a nice little pool. I think the only thing I have missing from this room that I truly want in it is a sprinkler, which I somehow have in my catalog, but it's unorderable. Go figure. Other than that, my only qualm about this room is that you can't put stuff on top of the picnic table...

And that's my main floor. Tomorrow, we'll take a look at my upstairs and basement.
Checking my mail today, Al had sent me a letter about a nightmare he had about Isabelle being 50 feet tall and crushing the town. I'm not Sigmund Freud, but I think he definitely has some problems that need worked out. I began my day by watering flowers, which I've become surprisingly tolerant of. Still, I'll probably never truly like it... Eugene pinged me, asking if I wanted to buy a grapefruit table off him. I still don't trust him, but I agreed to buy it (to inspect). Since it rained yesterday, I dug up several gyroids which I sold to Re-Tail. They were buying hats for a premium today, so I sold my shamrock hat to get it out of my pockets--I have another one in storage left over from last year, so I was OK selling this one. Al had put his bingo wheel up for sale, which was the same gift he got from me for Toy Day last year. Bloody ungrateful thing. Turnip prices actually increased quite a bit from yesterday this morning: 274 bells. Guess I should have waited to sell...oops. Savannah asked me to take a personality quiz from a magazine, and deduced that I should dedicate myself to painting landscapes. Well, I do like art, so I guess it isn't that far off. Rosie was gushing about how Animalia has no rules. Hey, Missy, there may not be any ordinances in effect, but we STILL have rules, and don't you forget it!
Back outside, Eugene pinged me AGAIN, and tried to tell me he was moving away on the 24th. Yeah, you're not going anywhere, Mister. First off, you're a dreamie. Second, you're hiding something, and I am going to find out what it is--mark my words. Seriously, he sends me orange convict pants, he won't tell me what's in his secret bag of "valuables", and now he wants to skip town? I'm positive he's up to something now. My suspicions seemed to be confirmed later in the day, when I saw him on my playground next to the sandbox...with a shovel. What did he bury there, and why? The mystery continues...

Later on, Walker was reminiscing over the town he used to live in, and moping about tarte tatin he never finished eating. Aww...I'd make him some if I knew what the heck tarte tatin is! Mira offered me her foosball table, which as I remember, was in her house a few days ago. She must have replaced it with something without my knowledge. Apollo mentioned that Gulliver had washed up on shore, so I headed down to the beach, and sure enough, there was the wayward seagull. I woke him up, and even though I have all the Gulliver items, I agreed to guess his destination. He was talking about flamenco dancing, matadors, and the running of the bulls, so I immediately knew he was headed to Spain. I'll be getting something from him tomorrow in the mail.
Anyhow, that was pretty much all that happened today! I'll be back tomorrow to finish up my house tour, then...who knows? Bye for now!
