Hey there! It's been quite a while since I've posted, so alot of you might not know me. Anyway, Animal Crossing Switch. It's going to happen at some point. Animal Crossing sells like hot cakes and it would be stupid to not make one. But this is less about whether it's coming to the Switch or not, and more about what it could be like. Imagine! 60FPS 1080p lush villages and the ability to take it around like Wild World or New Leaf, or play it on the TV like City Folk of ACGC, it's the best of both worlds. And imagine the network features! Also, as a bit of a recent AC player, it would be amazing to be there for the launch of the game.

Also, an idea I had is that yknow those NES games they'll give out with the Switch online subscription? What if you could play those in Animal Crossing Switch?

I'm cautiously optimistic about it. I have no doubt they'll do it, but if it's good or not is what I'm worried about. I amped myself up for Pocket Camp only to be disappointed within the first day of gameplay. I'm hoping it's a full title and not a spin-off. We didn't get one for the WiiU, so in my eyes it only makes sense to have a full title on switch. And I do love the thought of being able to not only take it with me but too also be able to lay in bed and play on my tv like I had previously done with the GameCube version. The one thing that draws me too Pocket Camp is how gorgeous and great the graphics. I hope to see some of my favorite villagers in all their 1080p glory. If it is a full title and not a spin-off, there is tons of things I hope they add and incorporate and change from the New Leaf era but either way if it's a Full Title i'll be pleased and happy to try it out.

I doubt they will do it, Nintendo disappointed me multiply times lmfao & + my ex was telling me nintendo filled a trade mark for Pokemon or some **** & they didn't announce any new games after that for a good while so

I wouldn't say no to a New Leaf port with new features such as Pocket Camp based amentities as Public Works, the New Leaf campsite being furnishable and even removing my number one hated feature: Grass deterioration (you're gonna hear me talk about that a lot when I talk about the future of main series Animal Crossing, just a heads up). Stuff like that.

Also, a Switch port could mean bigger town, more villagers to live there and an increase in the number of PWPs you can have in your town. That'd be really awesome, in my opinion.

@betta What was the trademark and what was the first game to come out after the fact? You got me curious now.

Well, nobody can tell, it's possible that Nintendo will maybe say something on the E3.
Otherwise on a Direct sometime this year. It's only a matter of time I guess...

I would be happy about a new main game with a bigger town, new villagers, new features... There
is so much they could do. I'm not sure if they would bring back those NES games. I mean, it would
be pretty cool if they would come back, but I doubt it. Right now, it would be really nice if Nintendo
would just say something about a AC for the Switch, so that the fans know that they working on one,
lol.

I totally agree with this! I miss the NES games so much, especially since its something I grew up playing during my early childhood. I do have my fingers crossed for atleast something from Nintendo at E3. Honestly even if they had a teaser trailer I would still be pretty satisfied. I hope all this silence about the game means that they have been working on something. I still play New Leaf semi daily, but I know a lot of people are slowly losing interest, or as mentioned above weren't as hyped for Pocket Camp as they thought they would be.

Who knows, maybe they created pocket camp to test some game mechanics out besides wanting to dip their toes in the mobile gaming ?\_(ツ)_/?

With the success of Pocket Camp, they'd be crazy to not make a sequel. Now we just have to wait for when

I feel like Pocket Camp is Nintendo's way of testing out new Animal Crossing ideas for the upcoming game to see what people like.

My body is ready! ...not really. I haven?t decided on a town name yet and haven?t decided if I want physical or digital... lol I hope the game saves on the cart (or cloud) so you don?t lose it forever if your console breaks. I also hope the amiibos and cards I collected can be used.

Same here. I don't expect it this year, what with Pokemon Let's Go, Fire Emblem and Smash Bros. padding Nintendo's 2018 holiday period. But 2019? Heck yeah, prime Animal Crossing year right there.

Of course I could be wrong and it gets announced next Tuesday. I hope I'm wrong.

Please let me be wrong.

I don't think they will announce AC this year. If they do they'll probably say the release date is somewhere in 2019 maybe?

I will admit as well as far as release date goes that I would rather they took their time. When AC: NL was announced, people rushed to pre-order it (myself included) and I pre-ordered mine from gamestop. Then the release date got pushed back a bit and I was quite miffed. I'd rather the game designers take their time instead of announcing it and then having to push it back because it wasn't ready.

(AC:NL was worth the wait, but still. I wasn't that happy that gamestop had my money so far in advance. :P)

I’m so excited for e3! I’m really hopeful that it might be announced! :D

I hope it gets announced this year... I feel if it is coming 2018, it will come in August or October, as it looks like smash is the September game, and pokemon is the November game. But I'm leaning more towards 2019.

Upside to it not coming out this year : gives me more time to work on my japanese (I plan on playing the game in japanese as a study aid) downside... NO ANIMAL CROSSING!

I have no doubt there will be an Animal Crossing released for the Switch.

I hope it’s a regular Animal Crossing game. I don’t like the concept of Amiibo Festival or Happy Home Designer. Besides, wasn’t Amiibo Festival literally just Mario Party with Animal Crossing villagers?
