Animal Crossing Special Edition 3DS Help

I am wanting to exchange my system for a new nintendo 3DS and was wondering whether my game will move to the new system okay or will I have to arrange for someone to hold my belongings/bells/fave villagers whilst I do the transfer?

Do you have a physical copy of the game? Or did you download it from the eShop? If it's physical, then you can just move it to your new 3DS without needing to transfer anything. If it's digital, you probably will have to buy another one for you new 3DS


edit: totally forgot system transfer existed, yeah that should work

Use the system transfer function and it will work fine.
System transfer copies over games tied to the system over to the new console
