I can't be the only one that has this happen. I get so excited when I start a game, any game, but especially Animal Crossing games, that I make stupid decisions that can't be changed later. For example, town name, or the face questions. I always forget about the face questions, and I'm always too attached to my town by the point that I realize my town name is kind of stupid. In City Folk my town was Gooda, a pun on the cheese, why? No clue. Now in New Leaf I live in Dinoland. It was the first thing I came up with that fit. It was also one of my locations when I worked in Disney's Animal Kingdom. But does my town have anything to do with dinosaurs, or Dinoland? Nope. I made designs of my old costume, but that's to ghastly to want to wear all the time. Annabelle kind of looks like a dinosaur, but I know she's not. And that face on my second character... I have her in Funny Glasses. Always. Any dumb unchangeable decisions you've made?

I don't like the placement of my police station and my campsite >.<, and if I could, I would definitely move my house back like 12 spaces.

YES. My campsite is in a very awkward spot, so is my reset center, now that n of my favorite villagers lives right next to it. I was going to put an illuminated tree by his house.

I regret not plot resetting when I had the chance. My dreamies moved into bad spots, but luckily I'm restarting soon.

In my old town I didn't like my campsite location at all. I'm too much of a perfectionist - while resetting I reset a map once because I accidentally placed my house 1 tile to the left of where I wanted it. One of the other things in my previous town that I regretted was that I let a lot of people into my town so my villagers talked about them all the time and it got really annoying. I don't really have strong feelings about town names though, I feel like we all just pick a random 8 character or less word. Most of them are pretty meaningless.

In my first town, I regret the placement of my campsite/cafe/police station/mayor's house, how many ponds my map has, and not playing any animal crossing game prior to playing new leaf. I feel like I don't appreciate all of the updates that happened, and I didn't know really what the point of the game was when I started it.

I think I'm mostly self conscious about my town name because some punk kid on Club Tortimer made the comment "Dinoland? What are you 5?" I think if I had it to do again I would name it Sycamore, or something neutral like that.

Since the friends I have who played it before I bought it all named their towns after Pokemon cities, that's what I do, so I never really regret the names of my towns. c:

I wish I had never put in a campsite or police station in my first town. My other towns don't have them. ( I guess I learned from my mistakes. ) I also chose the modern police station because I was so excited to build it that I didn't notice that you had another option. Modern does not fit my town or personality.

I wish I had named my farm town something better than "Farmland". I also wish I had adopted all farm villagers. I keep the ones I have because I don't want my landscape ruined and I have 4 characters ( so no plot resetting ). I could tear down a house and rebuild it later, but I'm too lazy.

Two of my towns only have 9 villagers. I wanted it that way, so I would have more room for landscaping. The problem is, I can never streetpass or let visitors come to those two towns. I love the landscaping, so a new house would surely ruin it. And of course I have 4 characters. ( So, no plot resetting ).

I like your town name. The kids on CT are punks. Don't let it get to you. :)

Oh that's horrible :(. I made my first new leaf town when I was 8. It was a perfect map but my town and mayor name were all pink and peppy :p

Well, I'm in my 20's and my town name has significance to me, the little punk also challenged my significance saying that there was no way I worked for Disney. I know I shouldn't let it bother me, it just does.

In my main town I'd like to change the location of my camp, & I wouldn't have put in the police station or the Resetti Center, & I'd prob change the location of the Cafe

I plan on buying a digital copy soon, though!

I kind of regret my town name, its not that bad imo but if I could I would change it.
I wish I hadn't gotten the Reset Center, and placed Brewster's Cafe and my police station elsewhere, there's soo many other things I could've done with the area they're in. Most of my regrets have to do with placement and landscaping stuff, they're the only reasons I've had thoughts about restarting but I love my villagers too much and I'll probably just buy another copy anyway.

Yeah in my new town I don't allow random visitors and I'm also not uploading a DA because I was getting tired of little kids telling me what to do. It was hard for me to not let that get to me too. I like your town name though, I think it's cool that it relates to your real life. I always just name mine after colours.

I would have placed the Reset Surveillance Center in the south west area of town closer to the cliff. I feet the space used for that and the campsite make it difficult for houses to appear near there.

What I would like in the next game is an expansion of the mayor point system that gives us the ability to move the permanent buildings like the campsite, reset center, etc.

Well I think Dinoland is an original and unique name. If it has a significance to you, like you say it does, then I wouldn't let some kid online bring you down over it. :)

Yah on the face thing, it's pretty much the only thing I didn't already known when I made this village (it's like my 4th restart) so I'm also always wearing the funny glasses u____u although tbh after looking at all the possible face combinations I'd probably still wear the glasses no matter what so no biggie.

I was so excited when I started my first town and forgot about the perfect fruit. Too busy talking to the villagers and doing tasks for them. Think a villager took the perfect fruit out when they moved in.

Before I learnt about cedar trees I placed the campsite near the ocean. We camped a lot at the ocean and wanted it there.
Planted trees and they died. The next town I placed the campsite to close to the bridge before I knew about Bridge replacement problems. So I'm stuck with one odd bridge. Finally got the campsite right on 4th town. Top of the map and still by the ocean.

Not protecting my bridges in my guest town with PWP is a huge regret. Removed the middle bridge and was surprised when Isabelle said no. It was in the perfect spot for catching lake fish. Muffy house was in the way and when she pinged I had to let her go. Since I couldn't trust myself I TTed pass her moving day. Happy the bridge is in but I miss Muffy. The windmill is in Muffy old spot.

I was very hasty in building the campsite as soon as it was available to me, so I ended up placing it in a spot that would've been perfect for a lighthouse, which I've been kicking myself over lately. If I had just waited a bit, I could've placed my campsite near one of the corners of the river, and my lighthouse in its place, rather than having the lighthouse in an awkward spot in front of a few of my villager's houses.

My dumb decisions was not knowing that there were different options for town maps. I should have spent the time to reset anytime i didnt find a map that i liked. Although, i never would have known that later down the road that i was going to try to make my town look really pretty. I would have chosen a town that had a good layout so that i could set up nice pathways and everything. I also regret some of the placements of my public work project. If i knew how i wanted my town to look from the start then i could have planned to put the public work projects in the places that i really wanted them to go.
