If you could keep 3 things about the old animal crossing games, but change/add 3 new things you think a new Animal Crossing game would benefit from, what would you pick?

I would keep:
1. The Island and Club Tortimer
2. Happy Home Showcase
3. Customizable furniture

I would add:
1. The decorating capabilities of HHD for your players houses and public works projects
2. More interactive public works projects!
3. Bring back house customizations for completing museum collections! (i.e. from the original Animal Crossing game)

I would love to know what you guys think are your favorite aspects of Animal Crossing! ^-^

Would like more famous painting for the art part
Like "the scream" and "starry nights"

Also would like the villager houses to be bigger
And also to customize them like in hhd

Also more pwp and the work like in hhd
That be cool

I would keep

1. The player's position as mayor. It made a lot of sense, and gave you a real purpose in the game besides just paying off your mortgage.
2. Public Work Projects!
3. The Island. It allowed everyone, even really casual players, to make huge profits very quickly.

I would add

1. Inventory improvements such as a separate toolbox to hold shovels, nets, fishing rods, etc. and the ability to stack every item up to 99.
2. A special area in the museum to showcase every furniture set and all the gyroids. There are so many I want to display, but no room to display them in.
3. Increased character customization. Different skin tones and facial features would be cool. Maybe human villagers can be different heights too

I agree with the inventory improvement! It would be great if we could stack repeated items. Also love the extra customization of the player ^_^ Maybe even add extra accessories? Be able to equip more than one accessory at a time?! D:

All I really want is a more immersive weather/nature system. Like for example: Storms can actually damage trees/PWPs. Heavy rain leaves puddles around town. Snow accumulates. I would love for there to be wind that would rustle the leaves on trees, or blow them off come autumn.

The ability to turn off music would be nice too so you can just hear the sound of the running river or bugs and birds in the distance.

Woah... you know, the many times I've thought about this, I never thought about the weather! That would be so awesome...be able to plow snow and run and jump through big puddles! Why can't this be real T_T

Hmm I would keep:
1. Isabelle as your secretary
2. PWPS
3. Ability to customize the players exterior.

I would change:
1. Events, I feel like we need more events.
2. DLC. Make DLC available for everybody, in every region since japanese DLC is high in demand.
3. The roost, I would move that back to the museum as I felt like that really gave me more of a reason to go to the museum.

And you know, stuff like being able to rake leaves (or pick up piles of leaves at the base of trees towards the middle/end of autumn) and pile them up in designated areas of town. This could also be used as an alternative to mushroom hunting where the moisture located under the leaves (provided by rain or watering) would promote fungi growth.

Another addition to the collection aspect of the game that I want to see is critters; stuff like different types of birds, small rodents, lizards, etc.

Keep:
1. The museum, or at least the "display" rooms.
2. Campsite
3. Dream suite

Want:
1. Be able to pick where villagers live.
2. Less restrictions on pwp placements if possible, especially bridges and small pwps like lamps or clocks.
3. Be able to tear down the permanent pwps. I still don't get why you can't.

This is brilliant. The only semi-immersive weather we have is that week with the cherry blossoms and the leaves float around. It'd also be kind of fun to have little icy spots in the winter and slip/slide over them. It could work like pitfalls in a way.

That would be so fun! Seeing squirrels running around and birds in the trees. I hope the next animal crossing game has some kind of improved weather and critter encyclopedia!

I too would keep the mayor status, the island and the pwps.

However, I'd like to add the ability to choose house placements and move ANY kind of pwp without having to demloish/rebuild it. Personally, being able to rename your town occasionally would be nice too, but I'm a big fan of being able to change anything.

And on another note, I'd bring back the cafe in the museum, the selfmade star constellations and the weekly flea market.

I would keep-
1 the position as a mayor
2 the island
3 the diversity of shops and events

I would add-
1 the villagers that were not used in new leaf (it makes me sad)
2 the ability to choose from many different map choices at the beginning of the game without resetting
3 more furniture

This is my first ACNL game so I'm not sure how to compare but I'd like to keep:
PWPs Idea
Island
Customization in furniture.

What I would add:
I'd like more interaction with villagers other than talking and doing "quests" for them. I like the whole "Hide-n-Seek" idea and I'd like to see more of that kind of interaction. Also, I'd like more "quests" that you unlock with the villagers after a certain amount of time you talk to them.
I'd like if the villagers were more interactive with their surroundings. I hear about them talking about going places and doing stuff with other villagers. It would be nice if you could go shopping with snooty villagers or have tea with normal villagers. That kind of interaction would be super awesome. I'd like if they would invite you to do some of their hobbies with them.
I'd add the feature where PWP's or Villager Placement, even trees/bushes were places exactly where you want them and none of this "x" amount of trees/trees can go in this area. Kinda limiting to me.

Overall, I just want more interaction with villagers other than the same thing over and over.

pine.apples, which villager do you miss that was not brought to new leaf? I feel the same exact way about Boots T_T He kind of reminds me of the alligators from (aging myself) the Nintendo 64's Banjo Kazooie! I loved Boots in the original Animal Crossing for the Gamecube T_T

I would keep:
1. The island/club Tortimer
2. Retail as is (with cyrus customizing furniture)
3. The dream suite

I would add:
1. The ability to alter your character(s) appearance like you can in HHD
2. More villagers in town (maybe 20)
3. More types of pwps and the ability to build more than 30 in town

Keep:
1. The mayor position. This is nice to be the head honcho of the town you live in, and you get lots of respect. (And let's face it, who doesn't want a hard-working secretary working for you?)

2. Tortimer's Island. This is a brilliant area to earn money straight up, and helps combat Tom Nook and Gracie's profound costs. It also helps fund PWPs.

3. The clothing customization! The models for the villagers are a huge step up from the short and big-torso'd models from past games. And it's nice to finally wear long pants.

Add:

1. HHD's character creation. Let's face it, we want to make our character look good, right? It's kind of tough figuring out what we wanna look like, once we step out of that method of transportation that gets us to our new town. HHD was simple and straightforward, instead of answering obscure questions. You picked your face, your hairstyle, and the colors.

2. Pickaxes! The rocks in AC can prove to be annoying to negotiate around. Oh, you like that nice path idea between your villager's home and that particular landmark? TOO BAD, this one rock is going to ruin your pattern! Furthermore, this would also work even better to mine up ores in greater amounts. Gold pickaxes would always yield ores, etc.

3. A higher villager limit! If you're like me, ten villagers is not enough. We want to have a very busy and bustling town with all of the characters you like. It's clear the new AC will be on the Wii U, if it comes out. It has the power to handle that many villagers.

Don't count on that. The Wii U is at the end of its short and rather uneventful lifespan. If you're waiting for the next game, then look to The NX handheld and console that's supposed to launch later this year(and next). I really don't think that Nintendo is going to release the next Animal Crossing game on the Wii U or 3DS.

Whenever (and on whichever console) it's launched, I hope the next Animal Crossing game is as awesome as all of our cool ideas :P I hope it's this year and not the next, though. I'm done waiting T_T

I would love to see things like more events, more interactions with villagers such as in HHD but different. I would love to set up like a coffee meet up with a villager or something?? Like going to see fireworks with them. I would love to see more Island fun, like going with a villager.

I think gardening would be cool like having a vegetable garden or something. Even expanding on that and cooking for villagers?? Like if they are sick bringing them soup that you make from your garden?? I think it would be cute.

I feel the exact same way! Even though you can still visit the villagers that weren't brought to new leaf in the gamecube version, it just doesn't feel the same. I miss Ursula and Piper but rumour has it they're coming back in HHD so hopefully they'll come back in games after that. :)
