Anyway, I prefer digital only because they dont have the risk of the stupid cartridge popping out :/ It takes 5ever to download though lol. However the cool thing about physical copies is that you can trade and sell them! So idk look at the pros and cons and decide what's best for your situation

It really dosnt matter to me. If you are getting multiple copies though, get one physical and one digital, so it isn't a pain to swap your game carts. I have 2 physicals and 1 digital copy.

Depends on you. Are you likely to dump hundreds of hours into it? AC is the type of game imo that benefits from being on your 3DS at all times so that you can just quickly pop in and out when you don't feel like spending much time on your town in one day.

I'd say cartridge, as you can get them cheaper and there's less risk of data corruption. But if you're the type who loses things easily, maybe digital would suit you better

I prefer physical since it sounds like there are a few more issues with digital copies of the game. Plus, if you want multiple copies, you can only have one digital one per 3DS but you can have multiple cartridges.

If you tend to prefer digital copies, though, you should get the digital game.

I have two physicals and a digital. I've heard digitals can corrupt more easily. I've only had my digital copy a few days. I just bought it Saturday, but it was only $30 when I bought it...

I have a digital copy of the game so I don't have to worry about having the cartridge on me when I want to play. I like taking my DS places and I normally don't have it in a case. I just stick it in my purse and go. This way I can have seven games on me at all times even without a case. The ones I play a lot (ACNL mostly), a fighting game that I don't play that often but is fun because of the gimmick, a couple puzzle games, and either a Pokemon game or a Zelda game in my cartridge slot.

It mostly depends on what you play. My fiance has almost all cartridge games except for the older game boy advance ports that Nintendo made that he wanted.

If you're the kind of person to lose things easily, though.. Then I'd definitely go digital. A 3DS should be easier to find than a small cartridge.

Very much agree with this. Also, if you have shoddy internet (or just a slow connection) then digital downloads can be a pain in the arse to finish. I know whenever my consoles have a huge system update, or I have to patch an MMO or whatever (not quite the same thing as a digital download, but same basic idea) I end up having to leave it going overnight or while I'm doing something else, sometimes pausing multiple times depending on how big the file is, or I'd risk basically ruining the internet for anyone who wants to use it during waking hours So take your connection speed into account as well! (Though I imagine ACNL's file size isn't gargantuan, it's still something to consider.)

I prefer physical copies for this reason too, although, I've never sold any of my games, even after I stopped playing with them.

I like to keep the game and the case that it came in for nostalgic purposes.

I have a digital copy as ACNL hasn't been in stock for awhile at Target/Best Buy here.
It's more convenient for me as I don't have to take out the other game that's in the slot and put in the AC cartridge.
I play the game everyday so it's just faster to just press it on your homescreen. Apparently, digital copies are more prone to data corruption? however I've had it for about 5 months now and it hasn't gave up on me yet. I'm getting a physical copy soon, but it's really just based on your preference.
