Just walked into my kitchen, looked at my rug, and thought about moving it by visualizing the drag and drop mechanism and realized Animal Crossing has fully leaked into my brain! Anyone else encountered things like this?
Not for Animal Crossing, but I was playing Star Fox once and it happened. There were a ton of spaceships coming from all directions and the battle got intense as I was trying my best to dodge all their laser fire. And then I realized I was physically leaning to the left/right and thought 'What am I doing? I'm not under fire.'
There were wasps outside my house the other day and I ran into my house. I fully visualized the wasps dispersing on the threshold and for half a second believed they couldn't follow me in. Oh how untrue that is! Haha!
Not for Animal Crossing, but many many many MANY times when I'm stuck in traffic do I want to go all GTA and start driving on sidewalks lol

Oh wait! I totally lied! When my husband and I spot things from the game like bugs, resources, etc we make the "WOO HOO!" sound. The other night I found a HUGE beetle and two days ago he found a tiger butterfly. Yesterday I found a flat mushroom AND a monarch.
When New Leaf came out my sister got a new house and when it was furnished I was running all over the place sitting in chairs, opening cabinets etc. And felt like I was seeing someone's house in the game. We laughed bc it was so true!
i forgot that my room in game (happened with NL too) is how i WANT my room to look but sometimes at night my brain is like "oh hey don't forget you put a fan there!" then i trip over NOTHING BUT AIR cuz ya know no real fan there....super fun and embarrassing when i hear "what happened?!" and i gotta come up with something quick like "stumbled my toe" or " tripped on a shoe" or i'll be made fun of for months.
I've been outside in my backyard in the last few days so I saw a few varieties of bugs. When I see a certain bug, I sometimes go, "oh look it's a tiger butterfly!" And when I try to move furniture around (which I absolutely despise), I sometimes wish I could move them by simply picking them up with my hand and throw it down on a particular spot so I don't have to push things around.
Whenever I see a butterfly my first instinct now is to grab my net... and it’s even worse now that it’s Monarch season. I love Monarch butterfly models
Not with AC... which is weird, since I play it way too much.
But after the new Pokemon expansion, I was playing it all day one day. Then, I looked outside, and the lighting made a tree look like a ray of light sticking straight out of the ground. So, of course, I was like- "Ooh! Dynamax raid spot!"
Also, ever since I first started playing video games as a kid, I've occasionally, usually when I'm rather tired and frustrated, I have a passing thought of "Well, if I don't do well on this test (or whatever), I'll just save beforehand and if I don't do well..." Then I feel like an idiot
When I'm out walking, I look at yards of houses and think, "Can I create this in Animal Crossing?" Most of the time it's a no, because you can't change the exterior of a villager's house.

Dude, I do that ALL THE TIME with wanting to recreate things in Sims. There've been time I've REALLY wanted to photograph someone's house to use for reference... but I don't think it'd go over well I've also seen people with really distinctive appearances (faces, hairstyles, makeup, etc.) that I've wanted to try to recreate but, uh, same thing... I feel like taking a photo there would be even weirder
