The e-Reader came with a card containing KK Ska.
Usually a package consisted of 4 characters, that sent you letters and presents if you scanned them, and a 5th card that was a pattern or a town tune based on KK's music. It also had Ice Climber and Mario Bros. in one of the series, and I was lucky enough to get Ice Climber. I didn't know at the time it was (or would become) one of the "forbidden NES" games.
