An open letter to : Mom

Dear Mom,

Hello! I moved out on my own a long, long time ago now. I?ve been really busy in my new town, can you believe they just hoisted the Mayor position on me as soon as I stepped out of the station? They didn?t even know my name but entrusted the fate of their cute little village to me.

Many have moved in and out here. It seems like there?s a new face every week. It?s been hard to say bye to the friends I?ve made here but I understand that feeling of wanting freedom and new experiences. They build their houses, move into my heart and just as quickly they?ve packed up their things and are headed to new adventures. Meanwhile, I stay here and welcome those who take their place.

I got the latest letter you sent. The antics you and Dad get up to make me smile. I?m glad he helped you with the dishes this time, and yes - I have gotten over my distaste for broccoli. I hope you have a big piece of pie this Mothers Day and put your feet up - Dad can (probably) handle himself for one day! I?m so thankful for your letters and gifts you send me.

I got to thinking about all the letters Mom sends us and it makes me sad that we can?t write back. I was thinking about making a new character in my town and naming her Mom so that I can write her back!

Also, don?t forget to call your moms this Sunday!

That's true! So generous of them! Yes, NL is my first Ac game. I've always wanted to play them but didn't have a 3DS or any other console.

This is quite beautiful. Thank you for your post Happy Mother's Day to all the mom's out there. And to all the kids, do something nice for your mom. Tell her you love her and appreciate all she does for you. It's not easy. We give up a lot to raise our kids. We do it willingly, freely and no matter what happens, would always choose to not do it any differently. Because you are our lives and our loves. Life is tough, we're not perfect, we make mistakes and bad decisions and sometimes we behave no better than kids ourselves. But the one thing that never changes is our love for you guys. Thanks for being our children and for making us better people by allowing us to love you.

I’m glad you guys have found joy in my letter. I’m not sure what I was expecting when I posted this and I felt a bit silly right after before anyone had read it but I’m glad I did now. You guys are a pretty great community and I’m glad to be a part of it.

I wish we could write to our mom on the games! I believe there should’ve been an option to send a letter to our moms. We can write to our future self, but not our mom.

It’s very sad! It wouldn’t be hard to implement this in the Animal Crossing (hopefully) Switch.

ii love this! its so adorable!! ii wish we could write back to our 'mom' shes so freaken cute! ive read we are supposed to get a letter/gift from 'dad' as well? ACNL is my very 1st game ii started playing in Feb. 2018, its so cute!! so these holidays we get in RL are actually fun to see on ACNL!!
