An incredibly stupid question, probably...

It’s been 15 years since I’ve played Animal Crossing... and I still have one question I’ve never had confirmed.

And that question is... Can you get struck by lightning in Animal Crossing?

I know it’s a dumb question and the answer is probably no, but I remember in 4th grade my unreliable friend on the school bus telling me they got struck by lightning in their game and I’ve believed them ever since. You know how elementary school is. And it was only recently when I thought about it and thought being struck by lightning was something too outrageous to be in Animal Crossing!

So... if anyone could please confirm to me once and for all that it was a lie, I can finally relax and not freak out for once whenever there’s thunder in my game. I’m afraid of storms both in real life and in Animal Crossing... it’s a little embarrassing. :( (I mean, even if you would get struck in AC, if would probably be like a tarantula or scorpion bite and have no consequence besides being sent back to your doorstep... but still!)

don’t worry, you can’t get struck by lightening in animal crossing lmao

or can you?👀
I looked by your reply too quickly and didnt notice the last bit until a second later. It genuinely made me snort. xD

As for lightning. As far as new leaf and new horizon go theres no lightning strikes!

This made me lol  I remember an older kid telling me and my friend that, if we bit our lip and it bled too much, it'd just end up white and shriveled. And earwigs would totally eat your brain.
...Neither of those are true, of course 😛

But, no, no lightning. If you could get struck by lightning I'd have heard of or experienced it by now! You can file that one away with the Mew under the truck.

I don't think Animal Crossing is that realistic enough. I know that the developers put so much effort by adding a lot of details but it's safe to say that they are only focusing on the "positive" side of things. We can even survive countless of scorpion bites without batting an eyelash.

If you hit the back of Nook's Cranny 3 times with a shovel then stand next to a tree and clap repeatedly during a thunderstorm, you'll get struck by lightning.

Is this some sort of a ritual? Just make sure that it doesn't mislead other players. :ROFLMAO: (I like the joke, by the way!)

If you talk to Sable 4 times in a row, run outside of Able Sisters’ really fast and type “I’m a pretty donkey” in the chat box as soon as you’re out the door, then go back inside the shop, spin around once, exit again, it will start to snow purple and a Madagascarian Sunset Moth will appear. Catch it, and then 50 tarantulas will spawn on your island.

NOTE: This will ONLY work if Wart Jr. has been on your island before at any point in time OR if your character is wearing a dandy hat.

there definitely is lightning in new horizons! I’ve had multiple thunder storms and they are SOOOO pretty (I love thunder and lightning irl too)

Being struck by lightning has never been, and most likely never will be, part of Animal Crossing. It's not that kind of game.

(On the other hand, in Don't Starve, the game my avatar is from, I've been struck by lightning way too many times...)

It'd be kind of funny if you could, and then your hair is stuck straight up with soot on your face lol.
