Yes, Fido. Fido is a Goomy who acts somewhat like a dog, but is FAR MORE intelligent than other dogs, even discovering a new process called "merging", where he fuses with someone else to sniff out clues. He used to be called "Little Goomy" by Fluttershy, but all it took was a miniquest involving Twilight succumbing to the forces of evil (unintentionally) and he joined Yoshi's team. The only one able to resist Fido's new merging technique is none other than the very subject of this thread, Espurr itself.
