An Animal Crossing Story

I haven't written anything in some time now. To get back to writing, I've decided to write a story based on Animal Crossing since that's what I've mostly been playing, along with Kirby. Problem is, I don't have much to work with.

Animal Crossing is pretty basic. There isn't much story or many interesting things to write about. It's about life in a small town, and there's not much too it. I suppose I could just write a little story about my town, but that would be extremely boring! I want my story to be exciting. However, I don't want everything that happens to be so dramatic that it comes off as tacky.

I'm thinking maybe I should ditch the entire idea of a human/mayor entirely and write about the animals, or write a humorous story that doesn't take itself too seriously... I'm not sure at the moment, but I do want to include a lot of the animal villagers in whatever I end up writing. I want a villager of each personality type too!

Basically, I want to hear some other people's ideas. I don't care if you're a writer or not, any ol' suggestion will do.That's why I posted this in the General AC Discussion part of the forums. What should I write about?
