First off, apologies if this isn't posted in the right area.
I just recently got into NL in the last month and a half or so, it's my first AC game ever and I'm loving it so much! It's tons of fun, the villagers and clothes and furniture and everything are beyond adorable and being able to manage stuff for a few minutes and then go wander around catching bugs for a while is the dream
Now, onto the issue I'm having.. I bought Amiibos thinking my 3DS XL had the built-in NFC technology, but apparently that's only on the newest models of 3DS XL. I've looked online all over the place for the NFC reader/writer accessory, and from what I can tell Nintendo stopped making them when the devices with it built in were released, so the accessory itself is extremely hard to find. I've found one Amazon listing for $100, an eBay listing for $50, and that's it.
If anyone has an NFC reader/writer accessory they'd like to part with (ideally for less than either of those
) I would be really interested in discussing further.
