Dash buttons are little buttons that you buy to order the things that you buy on a regular basis at the click of a button. The purpose is to put them where the product is that way when you notice you're running out you don't have to remember to order it later on, you just press the button and it does it for you.
How do you feel about the Amazon Dash buttons? Do you think they're convenient or just dumb? Would you ever consider buying one?
I hate the fact that you have to buy a separate button for everything and I just feel like I wouldn't use it all that much, especially when I can just go to the store and buy it where it may be cheaper or on sale.
Maybe. They seem really convenient, though at the same time a bit sketchy because I can imagine that the price of certain items fluctuates sometimes, so you could be paying more than you had intended for something.
I also think it's a bit risky for families with children. I mean if I was a child and saw a brightly coloured button in my house I'd smash the **** out of it lol.
Oh, so these are tangible buttons you can have in your home? That sounds really cool, I hadn't really heard of these before. I can imagine they would be really helpful for people who have to constantly buy supplies for projects they do or something like that, but I don't personally have a use for one.
The pricing part would be tricky it seems. But I find I can usually buy stuff on Amazon for cheaper than it's sold in stores. Also, I would probably always feel the need to check on the items price before actually buying it and I guess that would take away the purpose of the button.
I guess I have mixed feelings, but I can see how they would be really helpful as long as you don't get the buttons mixed up
It seems handy, but at the same time if I'm so frustrated at running low on something that I need to have a button to re-order it, I think I'd rather just go to the shop 10 minutes away rather than wait a day for it to be delivered to me.
I just had to look this up because it made no sense to me. You have to pay in order to buy something so I think it is really dumb. It's also ridiculous since there are SO many things one must always buy for a household that the number of buttons needed would be far too many.
I am between not sure and convenient. I mean, it would be kind of neat to just see that you're running out of something and be able to order it just like that, but I can just see it going wrong in so many ways, like your bratty kid pushing it a bunch or something. I don't know if it has any kind of authorization thing, but that would definitely be necessary if you had kids, or room mates or a habit or hitting it and pushing it accidentally. Like if it pops up on your phone with the one click purchasing thing on it or something. But honestly if you do for some reason order things you can go to the market for, like TP and laundry detergent and stuff they have the buttons for, it's kind of silly, I mean it only takes 2 seconds to order something anyways and it would be just quicker to go to the store and get it right meow.
I think they are convenient, especially for really busy people or people who live in rural areas. Someone who is really busy won't have time to run out and get paper towels and people who live in rural areas have limited stores nearby. For others, it may seem impractical.
they'd be useless for me. it's silly that Amazon is trying to charge money for the buttons, there's more of a chance people would try it out if they just gave you the buttons. I live in an area where they offer Amazon Fresh & Prime Now so if I got really desperate I could just use one of those options & get whatever I needed in a few hours.
