Am I the only one with tons of miles but have nothing to spend them on?

I've got 30,000 right now, I sometimes buy a fence I don't have but I think I've got them all now and I rarely visit islands. Sometimes I print a few NMT off to give people as tips when I trade but that's all really

I currently have 60k+ miles. I never island hop or buy nook items unless I really need it. I mean i'm still looking for the zen fence but other than that I just have miles on miles. I need this many in real life so I can travel.

Yes! I was wondering if others had this with their miles :0 I saved up for a while to get a ton of nmt but eventually just stopped caring so now I'm stuck with 40k and nothing to buy lmao. Although, I'm still revamping my island so I'll probably spend most of it on items and fences.

I wouldn't say tons but I do have a nice bunch saved up if needed. I had extreme RNG luck with both camper and island hopping lately so only had to use like 1-2 tickets for that and my camper kicked out the one I wanted more or less so ya-

I really hope they'll add more things for us to spend nook miles on in an update soon, as I have 180,000+ just sat doing nothing right now.

I occasionally visit a mystery island to farm resources, but that's as far as spending NMTs goes now I have my 10 villagers; I've bought all the nook miles DIYs and items I want on my island...it would be cool to be able to spend them on someone else's island to get the different colour schemes.

There's really nothing else to do with them, is there?

My island rep has a lot that’s for sure. My other characters don’t but I’ve been working on buying all the path patterns and terraforming stuff with them and as non island reps I find they don’t earn quite as much.

I've purchased all of the NM items that I wanted and I'm not really island hopping as much as I used to.
Saying that, I finally got Papi to move out, so will be looking for someone new soon.

Amen to that. I had 50k but I recently bought a bunch of items off there to trade colour variations with my friend so that brought my total down.

I have just over 50k which is pretty modest considering how much time I have been playing. Dodging objectives is my super power, I guess. That said, I do have more than enough to buy most/all of the NMT catalog but nothing tempts me at all. I think Nintendo should make more of an effort to create sustained interest in NMTs as an in-game currency: building blueprints, ordinances, furniture, more PWP type things, etc.

i’m in the same boat. i have close to 150k miles and there’s nothing for me to buy lmao - i’ve got all the fences and all the nook mile items that i plan to use and have oodles of nmt so now ig i’m just waiting in hopes that maybe new items will be added at some point ;u;

I have about 200,000 and I feel the same way! I always Island hop when somebody moves, but I get attached to my villagers so I only let somebody go about once a month. Lots of time to hoard miles in between. And I only ever island hop about 8-12 times, until I find someone I like, not 100+ times for one specific villager or anything like that.

Why?

Bells are even easier to come across than nook miles, and NMTs are pretty much worthless unless you want to go island hopping. I've hardly seen a single store on here that accepts NMTs in months - they all want TBTs.

I suck at making Bells. I use Nook Mile Tickets to go to islands to collect bottles for DIYs, shake trees because one of them has furniture, especially one that I might not have yet. I hit rocks for materials and use them if I need them or just sell them entirely. I don't trade with people very often.
