Am I The Only One Who Loves Ponds?

I never realized this was an issue. xD I love ponds <3 I have better things to do than resetting to get a good map.

I love both of my ponds.
Especially the one where my penguins live.

The only reason I dislike ponds is because the game usually places them in awkward spots. If I found a town with 6 ponds that had them placed nicely, I would have no complaints.

Also, the less ponds you have, the more rocks you get. I think I'd rather deal with a nice spot of water rather than a useless rock.

I love ponds, rivers, waterfalls, and the sea. They are so reminiscent of how I made money in the good old days (Gamecube version). Plus fishing is just so relaxing. It's much more enjoyable than netting bugs.

While I can see why you and other people would have that view. Working around a rock is far easier.

no, i like ponds, i have three in my town. i remember when I chose my map that i wanted three.

I don't hate them, but I don't love them, either. I wish there was more to them. Maybe if they had lilypads or reeds growing up in them or something. Basically, they are just there for the handful of fish I need to catch one time for the museum. Otherwise, I have nothing to do with them.

I love my 1st town's pond layout for the most part! I have about 5 or so ponds there xD my only beef with them is that they're only "alive" during one season, and for the rest of the year, there's no fish or anything in them!! It makes me sad to see villagers concentrating super hard trying to catch "the big one" when i know there's not a single living thing in those pools

Like Ras said, it'd be really sweet if they had things floating/growing in them, just for atmosphere, instead of just being...there But I've made due for now. A lot of people are surprised with just how many I have in my town, and really love how they're all (almost) located near one another to make a kind of swampy-parkish area It's where i put my Cafe lol

Ponds are so cute. I think more people would like the option to decide where they can be placed as opposed to resetting until their fingers turn numb. Personally, I could care less where my ponds go since they look adorable, but popular opinion doesn't seem to agree with me. One of my friends suggested that we have the ability to put down ponds like PWPs in the next AC title, which seems like a decent middle-ground to me.

I only have the one next to Re-Tail, and I looped a path around it with a bench near the northern edge. With some trees or bushes, I think I'll make it a natural water feature. c:

Papi has a private small pond right in front of his house, but with enough room for me to decorate with flowers =) Looks like a pretty natural garden.
My other pond is rather large, but it's right next to the Retail, and then between the pond and river there's like just enough space for a villager house to be plotted (which several villagers tried... I won't let them!)

I work with the pond to look natural in the landscape I personally really like them.

I only have one pond in my town. I really like them, but it just depends on the placement. A lot of them makes the town seem overcrowded imo.
But good for you that you like them! At least it's different. I think it's good that you see the good things in what other people might think of as bad

I have 2. Can't say I love or hate them. I probably wouldn't want any more, taking up precious space. I also wouldn't want any less, since they're kind of nice looking and add a realistic/vibrant vibe to town. So I guess I'm happy with what I have in general. I don't fish in them, but I like when I walk by one, and I hear the croaking sounds. Plus villagers fish there, and they look so cute!

I have 3 and just plant flowers around them ...

I just use mine as a sort of atmosphere thing. Like I wanted a front garden full of tulips with a pond in the middle of them and a winding path to avoid it from the start. And I have one in my camping grounds area as a little sort of private fishing spot.
My other 2 are just in the way though and I have them as a continuation of my bushes as if they're part of the wall.
