Am I The Only One Who Does This?

A long time ago I came up with the idea of placing a piece of ore on each side of a villager's house, using the type of ore that matches the colors of the house the best. It looks super pretty in my opinion but I've never seen anyone else use ore to decorate around town. Does anyone actually do this besides me? Also, check out my dream town if you want to see how the ore looks!

No I'm actually genuinely interested in that idea. It sounds original like nobody else would think of it. It sounds unique and interesting of how you'd do that :3

Nah. You just have different tastes. I mean everyone has different tastes, but that shouldn't matter. Decorate however you want. It sounds like a super cute idea to me, but I'm too lazy to make any more changes in my town right now. I also haven't been able toplay for days e_e

I had ores as a path to go through the trees, but it wasn't as purposely as the way you did it. I only placed them there because I didn't want it taking up my inventory. I think I'll now try to implement that stylistic choice in my town now. Thank you!

But wouldn't these ores effect town rating negatively? I don't know if I remember that correctly but random things on the ground must be seen as trash by the game when it comes to town satisfaction.

I decorate with ores, fruit baskets, books and gyroids I love how it looks but hate that it ruins the perfect score.

I place ores in random spots in my witch town, and there are a few beside villagers houses. it is a cute concept.

Honestly I don't care about town rating though. I have plenty of Jacob's ladders and it looks nice. Also thanks everyone for your compliments!

It's not common but I have seen people decorate with ores once or twice. I personally don't like it but I am not in the norm either but in different ways lol!

I usually decorate with a Jacob's Ladder outside each villager's house by the left hand side closest to their door. I have done this in 3 towns now.

I've been using scatted bee hives to yellow and red houses or tinted gold ones. Combined with flowers I like it. I haven't used ore but I might ! I used some around ponds , one with purple flowers and ore and another with blue flowers and ore.

It does affect the town rating but to me that make no oddsbecauze I've got so much stuff lying around the town anyway.
Sounds like a cute idea to use it to decorate villager houses I never thought of that and just always coordinated with flowers. But if I have any gold ore to spare I guess it could go around Maple/Beaus house I do use it for other decoration purposes but only really the area around my foundation which has a lot of Ruby stones and purple flowers. Have seen it done in a few towns actually, don't think I've noticed anybody using it around villager houses though
