Am I a Nintendo Ambassador?

I didn't get the latest system update until today. But I bought my 3DS on launch day. Am I still an Ambassador? *crosses fingers*

But if you contact Nintendo, they might be able to give you Ambassador status somehow.

I just didn't think you needed the new update, I thought you only needed to have connected to the eshop. I'm going to email nintendo, good god I hope they make me apart of it.

If you connected to the Nintendo eShop or performed the latest system update before 11:59pm Eastern August 11, 2011, you will be able to download the first ten free games being offered on September 1, 2011.

Are you sure I'm not an ambassador?

If you connected to the e-shop before August 12, then you're able to get the free titles.

Oh, yeah, that's all you needed to do. I thought that you meant that you hadn't even updated your system to have the eShop, therefore you wouldn't have been able to connect to it. But you should be fine if you've already been to the eShop before.

Also, why don't you have automatic updates enabled? It's really nice, your 3DS will automatically download any system updates via SpotPass and instantly install it whenever you open it.

from what i understand if you have proof that you got it befor then they will still give you the games

Provided you have downloaded the eShop and connected to it at least once, you should be as that's exactly what was required and that's exactly what I have done as well.
