For me, I always leave my 3DS on my bed, and ALWAYS it ends up on the edge of the bed and falls. That's happened to me countless times. I dropped a greasy plate on it.. (don't eat pancakes in bed while playing games) and.. I remember leaving my 3DS on my desk and it somehow ended up on the floor. I still haven't bought a case for it.

Apologies if there's already a thread similar ar to mine!

I spilled Dr. Pepper on 3 of my devices, including the 3DS. When I took it apart there was sticky pop residue inside.

When I got my first 3DS XL on my 15th birthday, I used it for a week...until I accidentally threw it on the bed and it dropped in a bucket of water that was holding the air conditioner water.

That, is what I considered a really dumb moment on my part. And I didn't get another one until March of last year, and I still have it and plan to not break that thing.

I drop mine a lot

Or it falls

I have cracks in it ;-;

Also the r button stops working a lot of the time

I've had so many problems with the DS Lite. The hinges literally broke off my first one, my second one has fault hinges but still works and my latest is in perfection condition aside from one large pixelated black patch on the screen which is seemingly unremovable.

Back in dec f the year the original 3ds came out I accidentally spilled some candle wax on it. Thankfully it was closed so it didn't damaged it, I just scraped it off the outside, but there still a little left it some of the gaps between the hinges.

That's probably the worst thing

I have this nasty habit of accidentally putting my 3DS safely on the table away from harm.

But my original DS my brother did something to and broke the hinges. In this case, the biggest accident that ever happened to any of my consoles was my mother deciding to have another baby.

My old XL I dropped a few times, even though I tend to be careful with my consoles and handhelds. Once it fell with the screen facing down onto one of the feet of my computer chair. There wasn't even a scratch. Thank you, Nintendium.
As for my New XL... it's a Majora's Mask edition, so I'm super careful with it. I'm hoping that I don't accidentally drop it somewhere.

I actually haven't dropped my 3DS yet! I'm so proud of myself.
My DS though... xD It's had loads of drops.

Sometimes the game card pops out while the 3DS is on because I don't always carry my system with me in the best way.

First DS touchscreen failed
Second DS got stolen from car
Third DS still functional but poor button function
First 3DS current and still functional

I've been fairly careful with my DS' over the years. The most I can think of was one of my DS Lites had a part come off, I think it was the piece that showed you the light indicators for when the DS is on or dying. That piece came off and when my dad super glued it back on, it made my top screen have a permanent yellow hue to it. When I played Wild World, it looked like I lived in a sewage town.

My second DS Lite started having pixel issues and the top screen had a lot of dead pixels. I have no idea what even started it, I probably dropped it a few times.

My DSi, first 3DS and New 3DS have all been in really great shape. The DSi and first 3DS still look pretty much brand new, I like to keep them protected. Then my New 3DS pretty much is brand new so hopefully it stays that way.

I accidentally broke my first DS by pressing on it too hard - either that, or when I got it the touch screen was messed up. Can't really remember, it was ages ago..

...And recently I had a scare with my new 2DS, the touchscreen & buttons stopped working. Thank goodness for google, I found out how to fix it and saved my 2DS from being sent in for repairs :p

I dropped mine when I went to a restaurant, and the part beside the yellow light had a huge crack. I had to put a bunch of tape on it because I would usually have to close the thing really slowly and carefully because if I carelessly closed and opened it it would make the crack even bigger than it already was.
