I think you might be able to take one with the 3ds camera. You have to go to its app and once you take a picture, it'll save to the SD card. then you'll have to transfer it to the laptop and voila. I'm not 100% sure whether it'll work but give it a try, I guess.

you can upload it via the nintendo picture share thingy too. it posts to facebook, twitter, and tumblr
