Here’s everyone that can be invited who’s in that video (I think the not featured ones are just those from the new Amiibo set, so the video maker may not have access yet)

I was pleasantly surprised, but given that Nintendo is pushing Amiibo card sales hard, I suspected they would add them all back into the game in some way so that new buyers of older card sets wouldn’t feel like they got a worthless NPC card

Yeah I know people like to speculate, but I don't see any reason why they would be brought back. Some of the NPCs talked about how there is no need for a certain role on a island that would not make any sense. I won't spoil who said it, but in a way it does make sense.

I think not only being able to call them to the Roost but also design them a house in HHP (and that being the only way to do so) gives a good value to the older Amiibo only NPCs without punishing anyone who doesn’t want to buy them or hunt them down

Yeah its sorta like given them their own retirement home, because they have been around for so long that they needed a much needed vacation. They work too hard and Happy Home Paradise is all about chilling and just enjoying paradise.
