Aika Village

Aika is one of the most popular dream towns in the Animal Crossing community, and I just found out about it today. It's basically a scary town with a story plot that's open to interpretation. One thing everyone can agree on is it's a really creepy town.

What do you think of Aika? Do you have any theories about what happened there?

Visited it on several occasions. Whatever you do, don't open the gift at the bedside.

It's pretty dedicated, pretty good, lots of theories to conjure from what I remember it was about a little girl and then something bad happened...so long ago I forgot, methinks she went insane, at least from what I can recall.

I'm not one for OHSOSPOOPY creepypastas but a lot of effort and planning has went into Aika Village and the theories and stories behind it are interesting. ^^

My first theory was that the little girl and doll are the same, seeing as they both wear red. Or maybe the little girl got the doll for her birthday and the doll possessed her?

I've never been to Aika, thanks to an on-going phobia of dolls, but I do know what it is. I believe the story behind it is that an over controlling mother wanted her daughter, Aika, to become a perfect, little, doll. That, of course, was impossible, but every time Aika failed to reach perfection, her mother punished her by slaughtering a puppy. This, eventually, drove Aika to commit suicide by drowning herself in the ocean.

I've never visited Aika myself, but I watched a lets play of someone who knew a lot about it and some of the cultural elements of the town that I didn't know. And it made it just that much creepier.

There's so many theories concerning the village though.

Out of all of them, the doll being possessed seems to be most sensible

I wonder if K.K. Synth would still be creepy if I hadn't visited the Aika village way back when. It's been a while, so I don't remember too much about the village except that it was the first time I saw trees with no leaves, which I remember thinking was a really cool touch to the creepiness of the town. Other than it being creepy, I also remember thinking it was very difficult getting around the town with all the pitfalls planted and the shrubs every where.

to me, its not really that scary, but i think this town is based off of one of the places in Pokemon XY...

I went there recently, I saw older versions on youtube.. nothing seemed to be changed.

It was really put well together! I love the horror-themed towns, but Aika was the most cohesive i've been to.
The possessed doll theory is most likely, or that the doll possessed the girl.

Kudos to the creator, it takes a lot of skill to pull off Aika as well as they did.
