Here is it folks. From the creator of the original new leaf Aika village, they did it again in NH!

DA-1182-7179-4326

Enjoy!

Bellow my opinion (don't click if you don't want spoilers) .
I think for me, the experience was more surreal and weird than horror. I think NH suffers from lack of creepy music like 4 am theme in NL. So for me, walking along the island was more like visiting a surreal alien planet than unfolding a horror story. ahaha I absolutely loved the froggie village and the froggie house. Don't forget to grab the swimsuit so you can access the left part of the island!

My favorite part must have been the creepy skeleton sculptures. ahaha

I think this time it is trying to tell a different story and I can't wait to hear theories about the new Aika village. The upper part with scientists studying stuff is very interesting. Also why frogs of all animal species? {/spoiler}

I keep seeing everyone talking about this island, I don't remember visiting it in NL! Can't wait to see what all the fuss is about!

if you are curious, you can visit in new leaf too. there is a different vibe to these 2 towns. diffinetly worth checking both. :D

remembering how they over time updated their new leaf dream address in various ways, I look forward to seeing how new horizons aika changes over time

OHHH i just visited and damn chills.
I'd love to know the translations to the characters' statements.
I have a small theory but I'm pretty sure I'm wrong LOL

YES!!! This is great news! I can't wait to visit it and see how they converted it over to NH!

Part of me is happy they have the passion to remake their village in the first place!

Wow. What an experience. This psychological trip is very surreal, dark, and disturbing. While it's not as bloody as the NL Aika village, this really makes you think what happened to the main character.

It also seems like there are separate stories in this one but I'm not sure if they are all connected. I need an in-depth explanation. Time to head to YouTube and see if I can find one.

loved aika village in NL so i'm so glad to see it again!! while translations would be helpful I think I have a theory... guess I too am off to youtube to see what other people have to say!

It looked a mess to me and I couldn't work out how to get around some boundries so most of the island was cut off. I don't think it's finished I think they're still trying to collect stuff.

This village was really nice and surreal! I can translate the Japanese too if anyone wants. For example: the bulletin says to not eat in the frog village, wear pink, or sing outside (if I remember correctly). There’s a part where Aika asks if you’re deleting the village’s data.

The NH Aika village gives me mad scientist vibes. Like it’s built on the remains of a past abandoned village/island and scientists are doing experiments on frogs. Maybe Aika’s trapped there too?

please tell! :D
I believe frogs are the symbol of rebirth (some have also pointed out a part of Aika Village that looks like the cycle of life or growth, from human >> skeleton, then tadpole >> frog), so I'm assuming NH's Aika Village with all the frogs symbolize Aika wishing to be reborn into a new, better life. I think it's also supported by the little fetus pictures scattered around the island unless they weren't fetus pics lol.

Here's some stuff I pulled out from the first result of google search on frog symbolism:
"The visible changes over the course of their life (from tadpole to frog) make them symbolic of change, adaptability, and rebirth.
As frogs croak before the rains, they are considered bringers of rain, cleansing, and fertility."
^^ this, esp. the fertility part, could explain that one room that looked like a farmer's land with showers. Maybe Aika wanted to be reborn like the bloom of plants? A more peaceful life? Idk lol

Also, did anyone take notice that there were at least 2 red shoes? I rewatched vids of Aika's village in NL and recall only seeing one pair. In the island version I saw two, one on the left beach and one on the right. :0 Wonder whose red shoes were the second one? Her father's perhaps?

Nice, thank you for the translation! Super helpful! :D
Not sure about the rest, but wearing pink may symbolize her mother? Wasn't she the one wearing pink in the drawings?
Also just to be clear, was her mother the one in a pretty pink hat and dress that lived in the small house with the trophies? Given in NL Aika was shown to be under pressure by her parents bc they wanted her to excel, I assumed her mother was the one associated with the trophy and piano house.

thats a very interesting theory! I like it! what do you think about the scientists/astronauts on top of the island?

I haven't given much thought about that yet since it's a new area for Aika Village, might look around to see what other people think of it first!
Aika's Village has carried over stories from NL, but I'm super stoked to analyze the new rooms. I remember seeing a room full of bull and sheep, another room of galactic stuff (may be tied to the astronaut area?), and one in the basement with a jail cell and some pink image I couldn't make out.

Huh, something came to me, but perhaps there's a theme of past-present-future? Past would be the dinosaur exhibits and future would be the lab experiments (and maybe astronauts too because space has all this futuristic themes). I haven't organized my thoughts well on them yet, but I'm definitely visiting again to analyze the finer details :D

P.S.: Creepiest room for me is the room with paintings of the villager hybrid. It's prolly not connected to any Aika Villager lore either lol, just there to poke fun at the high demand in those villagers. Would love to hear what room or area crept out people the most
