I have been trying all day for two days and Sylvia will NOT move. She came from my cycle towns void and I loathe her and want to make room for teddy. I have tried the six days forward six days back method for hours and hours and days and days and every one of my villagers has pinged but her. She is no longer my tenth villager as Annalise moved out and then astrid moved in after, so I don't know what's wrong. Anybody want to explain what could be happening?

Seems like you're just having a ton of bad luck, mate. :\

I'm having the same problem with Limberg. He refuses to leave.

Also limberg is nasty I'm sorry you gotta deal with that

Talking to a villager less actually makes them move sooner, but as I said.. it seems like you're having a lot of bad luck.

Yeah it seems to be the opposite in this case. My closest villagers wanna leave and Sylvia who I despise wants to stay

Its a double-edged sword. Not talking to them makes them move quicker so you start talking to your other villagers you like more, which makes THEM move quicker.

And yup, Limberg is nasty. Every town I create seems to eventually get him moving in and it takes him weeks to leave. He's wanted to move TWICE, but he decided he would stay both times.

I think the 6 days forward, 6 days back method doesn't really work. But I'm having the same issue as you. I accidentally picked up agnes from my cycling town's void and i can't get her out. I've been trying to tt 4 days forward after telling someone to stay then talk to a villager to see who's moving. if no one wants to move on the 4th day, try going forward day by day til someone says that a villager is leaving.

I wish you good luck though, since this is pretty tricky.

A solution for when they want to stay is to quit without saving and time travel to the day they're moving. Problem solved! :)

I like to restrain from time travel as much as possible. XD

Same, but when I'm desperate for a villager to move out, I break the rule. But I agree that when you don't time travel the game is so much more relaxing and fun.

Ok so in this time, Muffy, Rosie, Chief, and Lobo have asked but not Sylvia.

Idk what I usually do to get someone out is when someone pings, deny their request and then tt 3 days, and then one day at a time until a villager says "so and so is thinking of moving" instead of the whole rumor thing they talk about. It took me a long time but I got Big Top out eventually by doing this. The bad part is you end up like months into the future, so if you don't have the beautiful town ordinance it could mess things up. But... Yeah. It takes forever and I totally feel your pain. I hope you can get her out soon :(

Thanks, I may consider it since it's taking me forever to do it with the method I'm using.

I've never tried the method you're using, but I know a lot of people are wary of traveling more than one day at a time... I have found in my personal experience that I never had someone ask to move again for at least three days after someone asks, but I know that some people have had other experiences so I wouldn't call this method fool proof... I might start with two days and then one day at a time. At your own discretion of course, again it worked for me but I don't want you to lose any villagers accidentally because of my method!!

Oh no there's nothing to worry about, your method is very safe! Thing is, after a villager requests to move and you say no, you could travel as far forward as you like and nobody will move. The method I use tricks the game into thinking a week has passed, so that way since a villager will ask to move out once a week you'll get a ping with every time you do it.

AT LAST SHE PINGED!! Ahhhh!

oh geez, i totally feel your pain. the villager i've been trying to get out for weeks is finally moving out today, but it was only after much hard work and burning passion. D:<
if she's new, you most likely won't have her out anytime soon. you have to have someone else move in and then their chances of moving out are greater.
then, you'd probably have to either ignore them completely for a week or more. or, if that doesn't work, talk to them once a day; friends/best friends move out as much as strangers do.

oh!! omg, she pinged??
that's fantastic! get her out, quickly! >:p

Like always happens, it's just a lot of bad luck, because the villager asking to leave is set RANDOMLY.
